What wonderful memories we have of this pub !!! My wife and I arrived in on the evening of the Ireland V Boks World Cup match in sept to find everything was booked out !!! We were thinking this is a disaster. But when my wife explained to the manager, Marcos, that we had come all the way from County Mayo he took pity on us and found us a perch complete with a couple of high stools. We felt so well looked after all night. The Guinness was absolutely great and utterly necessary. And at €5 a pint was bloody great value. You wouldn’t get it in the centre of Dublin. The bar staff were on the ball. No hanging about. We met loads of Irish people who lived in Madrid there too. We even met a lad whose best friend was in our son’s class in school in Castlebar !!! And we beat the Boks. So it really was a night to remember. After that we headed South to Nerja and Cordoba etc for a couple of weeks. While we were down there my wife texted Marcos to ask if there was any chance he remembered us and whether he could keep us a seat for the Scotland game as we were due back in Madrid. He couldn’t have been nicer. He said he remembered us well and would have our spot ready for the game. Marcos had a great welcome waiting for us. We had another wonderful night and of course we duly won the match. We headed North then towards home but before the quarter final against the All Blacks we got another text from Marcos asking if we wanted him to hold a seat. Unfortunately we had to decline. But I often wondered if we had gone back would it have changed the result!!! We had a final text from Marcos a couple of days later expressing his own sorrow and disappointment with the result and commiserating with us on the loss. He had nothing to gain by this as he knew we were heading back to Ireland. So hats off to Marcos and his crew in Collins Irish pub where the pint is perfect and the craic is as...

We visited this venue specifically to watch the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final. Beforehand, we asked staff if they would be showing it, and they confirmed it would be on the big screen. However, when we returned just before kickoff and asked which TV it would be on, we were told that they wouldn’t be showing it after all because they “had to” prioritize a men’s football match instead. This was disappointing not only because we were misled, but because it showed where their priorities truly lie. The Women’s Rugby World Cup Final an event that happens only once every four years and represents the pinnacle of women’s rugby was disregarded in favor of a routine men’s league game.

This decision reflects poorly on the establishment. It signals that they are unwilling to support women’s sport, even at its highest level, and that they value the status quo over inclusivity and progress.

For parents raising daughters, fans of women’s rugby, or anyone who believes in equality in sport, this is not a place you can count on to stand behind those values. Moments like this reveal a company’s true character. Unfortunately, in this case, it’s clear that supporting women’s sport is not a priority here, perpetuating the same old...

The pub is atmosphere is fine, good ale. However, two unpleasant events occurred. First, we were anxious for a fish and chips and unfortunately they don’t serve it. What kind of Irish pub is this that don’t serve such a traditional dish as this. I know we’re at Spain but come on! In the second one, we asked for a pint of Guinness and Fosters. The young waiter there charged us eight euros, but outside the pub there was a board with prices stating 4 euros for Guiness and 2,50 for Fosters. Come on, you didn’t need to do this just because we’re tourists. I know it is just 1,50 euros but I’ve felt disrespected by this kind...

The live Irish music is fantastic! Because they sat around a table, the first time I was there I thought that it was just a random group of friends playing Irish music. Then I was told that this is the band playing every Monday at 20.00 and during the weekend. They sit at a corner table and play Irish music! Amazing atmosphere!!! Other times they have games on the big screen! I went there 4-5 times within 12 days. I would prefer they'd have an actual kitchen to prepare the food on the menu. The patatas bravas I tried weren't that good as I believe it was just heated.

Visiting Madrid from Birmingham UK. Found this Irish pub, which wasn’t the typical theme pub. It was a genuine Irish pub, providing a great selection of Irish and international drinks. The place was in good atmosphere with live traditional Irish music. Great place for the Criac.

I went here after R.Madrid V Chelsea match as near to hostel, Safe Stay, where I was sleeping for the night!! I had a very tasty draught German wheat beer and a JD (win, lose or draw). Cost €8. Would recommend for drinkers if in the area. They kick out @ 1:30 a.m.
