Nice terrace to drink and eat something enjoying the warm sun of Madrid!

Unfortunately the service is far from decent...I would say HORRIBLE!! After waiting for 20+ minutes trying to get the attention of the waiters...one of them came to the table with a very arrogant attitude and rude behavior!!

Even if a bar/restaurant is always crowded and successful, this does not give the staff the right to be ill-mannered and treat their customers in a bad way!

There are lots of other cool places...

Maleducados !!! Rozando lo absurdo !!! 24 de Enero. Grupo de chic@s con ganas de tomar algo en la terraza. Según los "excelentísimos estatutos" de este "grandioso bar", no se permiten juntar las mesas de la terraza; por lo tanto, nos sentamos como pudimos alrededor de dos mesas, sin llegar a juntarlas. Esperamos 20 minutos, sin que nadie nos atendiese, por lo que entramos a pedirles que por favor nos atendiesen. Seguimos esperando y nadie venía. Desde nuestros asientos, vimos como un camarero advirtió a otro (que se encargaba de nuestra zona), diciéndole que nuestra mesa llevaba rato esperando. Su contestación: "les he dicho que no juntasen las mesas y lo han hecho; ahora, que esperen". PERDÓN ? O_o En ese momento, cogimos las mesas y las juntamos; ya que tenemos que esperar, por lo menos estamos cómodos. Llamamos a varios camareros, hasta que vino uno, quien con tono maleducado nos preguntó qué queríamos, afirmando que no habían venido antes porque habíamos juntado las mesas. Tres sílabas: AB-SUR-DOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!! Ante sus narices, nos levantamos y nos fuimos a la Plaza de San Ildefonso, donde pasamos toda la tarde, animada con un concierto en vivo. Expectacular ! NOTA al dueño de "El Balcón de Malasaña": escoge mejor a tus empleados y asegúrate que pasen un "test de buena conducta...

FYI we are rating this place based on location, view and the drinks. First visit was on 9/14/22. Very affordable to sit and people watch. Our server was wonderful and attentive. The Tequila with soda is €5.375 ea what a bargain! Cocktail mix comes with the drinks. Eventually they give you olives. We will be back, as a matter of fact, if I lived there I would be there at least 3 to 4 times a week...
