Went on a lovely spring day. Nice patio though cramped (though not very busy) - could barely move my chair away from the table given service area directly behind. There was also an odd leg on the table so while I’m a fairly petite woman, it wasn’t a very comfortable chair. The food was wonderful. The jamón y pan de tomate, ensalada con aguacate y lasagna (pheasant) y tarta de manzana. The service was ok. Some friendlier than others. Felt like we weren’t a priority to them compared to the other American next to us talking about her boob job…. Bread was nice as well as little appetizer but charging 5.5E per person for the bread and appetizer without disclosing was interesting. Being unable to refill water, when tap water is standard in madrid, also weird. And then paying 10% tip on the most expensive restaurant we have found yet in madrid (and we went for lunch) all felt a bit meh. It was great food but the service wasn’t superb. The table was sub par. And the nickel and dime-ing on bread and tip leaves a bad taste in your mouth, regardless of quality of food. Madrid has great food and while this was great, not paying 3xs more great in my opinion. I also incorrectly expected a roof terrace vs...

A week ago, I visit the Restaurant in anticipation of my Aunt 80th Birthday. We wanted her experience to be unforgetable. The place decor is very nice however, the day of the event, the experience was totally the oposite. We recuested a secluded table and they sat us near the noisy kitchen where the staff kept bumping into us and constantly excusing themselves and almost on the virge of dropping food on her. The meat Tártar was a dísh We expected in a good presentation but its was quickly prepared in front of us and pour/server as of it was a stew….something you simply scoup and drop on a plate. I underatand with the upcoming holidays and the big parties the restaurant was hosting, the staff mighty be limited but they certainly lack experience in serving and catering to us. We expected a profesional staff that would at least be attentive but they seem to be more interested in attending the party of 15 people nezt to us. Again, We were extremely dissapointed and wished we would have had a better experience for the 80 birthday celebration that only happens once. The “Paraguas Restaurant” was such a...

Now this place looks absolutely amazing, so well designed and comes across as a property that really is going to deliver. Such an elegant building, amazing interior design and staff that are dressed to impress (to a point the clients as well).

The first impression is, right, this is going to be expensive, but it is also going to be excellent on every level, be it the environment, the quality of food and the service levels provided.

Service levels, lived up to the impression, the service is excellent and the employees are totally committed to the customer and ensuring a fine dining experience. Well presented and extremely knowledgeable of the product (food).

We were a group of 6-persons, so went for a very good selection on the menu, starters, mains and deserts. Starter wise, good, but nothing different to various other properties of a normal value. Main courses, the Cod was very average, dry and flavorless, other mains were significantly better and enjoyed. Desert wise, full of flavor, delightful.

Average rating, is simply because i expected more in quality against what...

I am writing a review after my fourth visit to this restaurant. The food is great, although the tuna in August was much tastier than in November. Perhaps this is a seasonal difference. The tablecloths and napkins are of excellent quality, and the cutlery is also at the highest level. Exquisite interior design. Last time we ordered two glasses of red wine at 8 euros per glass - terrible quality. I think that a restaurant of this class should not offer such a thing. The general conclusion after several visits is that all of the above-mentioned actions do not cover the arrogance of the head waiters of the administrators. There was this arrogance in every visit we made. Coming to a well-decorated restaurant with excellent cuisine, you want to feel like not just a unit at a table, but a welcome customer, unfortunately this feeling has never arisen. The exception was one waiter named Andreas, as if he was not from the restaurant's service team, but in himself pleasant, responsive and not arrogant. Thank him for that. P.s. The food is far over price

Nice restaurant depending on what you are looking for. My husband and I came here to enjoy a nice dinner our last night in Madrid. We made an early reservation for a Wednesday and the place was empty when we arrived but quickly filled up. There are multiple dining rooms and an outside terrace. We were sat with mainly business dinner groups and would have preferred to be in the room with mainly couples. One of the waitresses rushed us at the beginning trying to take our order but after that most of the staff were nice and attentive. They didn’t take the time to go over specials or make any recommendations which we thought was odd for such a nice restaurant. All of the dishes we got were delicious, great quality and a nice presentation. The main annoyance was that there were fruit flies that kept getting in our wine. A manager acknowledged and apologized and gave us a free dessert. The food won’t disappoint but it is definitely a white table cloth stuffy kind of vibe and it is expensive. Even the starters and salads were mostly 20 Euros and up.
