The dishes were well presented and with decent amount of food (let's face it, it's not the cheapest place so expectations were accordingly). Yesterday I had family visiting from abroad and I thought we'll have a great experience, as was my previous one. To my regret, this time was NOT at all as before. The service: we had to wait a long time to get the menus (and only after we requested them cause we were getting a bit hungry). During the meal no one came to see if we wanted to order more drinks or if we're happy with the food (will get to that in a bit). They have a "Bread Service" which is basically that they bring you as much bread as you wish during the meal. The only time we got bread was at the beginning of the meal and no one came to offer us more (take into consideration this service costs around 3 Euro and they give you 1/2 a slice each time). Annoying. Due to medical reason I need to be careful not to eat un-cooked egg - an issue the waiter could not understand. We had to explicitly insist he checks with the kitchen if the desert was "safe" for me. The Food: We ordered the Grilled artichokes, oxtail stew, and mashed potato and Ox tail stew cannelloni for starters. Both tasted good but it seems the Artichoke dish got significantly smaller. The Ox tail stew was missing the stew...and there was so little that it seemed to be hiding under the vegetable, and the mashed potato was less than a spoon per person. A major downgrade from my last experience there where the dish was well served. We also ordered the stewed rice with chicken (I get Al Dente rice...but this was too undercooked that it was exhausting to eat). We ordered the wagyu beef cheek. This was really not a good dish. A very small one piece glazed...and very dry. Not at all juicy as one expect this to be. And again... no one came to even check on us the entire meal, so we couldn't even say anything as waiters came to drop the plates and then disappeared. And lastly was the extremely underwhelming and tiny "Creamy chocolate". I get it that something can go wrong... but the entire meal was disappointing for me...

The menu at La Bien Aparecida is a symphony of flavors and aromas, showcasing the freshest ingredients from Cantabria, a region in Spain known for its rich culinary heritage. Each dish is meticulously prepared with passion and dedication, ensuring that every bite is an explosion of pure delight.
I began my culinary adventure with the croquetas de jamón ibérico, a true classic of Spanish cuisine. The delicate, golden-fried croquettes were filled with a luscious béchamel sauce and melt-in-your-mouth jamón ibérico, creating an irresistible combination of flavors and textures.
Next, I indulged in the fabada asturiana, a hearty dish of white beans, chorizo, morcilla, and pancetta. The beans were cooked to perfection, their creamy texture perfectly complementing the savory flavors of the sausage and cured meats. Each spoonful was a symphony of flavors that warmed my soul from the inside out.
For dessert, I savored the tarta de queso, a traditional Cantabrian cheesecake. The smooth, creamy cheesecake was adorned with a generous layer of caramelized sugar, creating a delightful contrast of sweet and savory notes. Each bite was a delightful indulgence that left me wanting more.
Throughout my dining experience, I was impressed by the impeccable service provided by the staff. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the culinary magic of La Bien Aparecida with their guests.
