Traveling in Madrid, I was disappointed by the quality of specialty coffee shops I have encountered. That was until I stepped foot into FELIZ. The v60 was spectacular, done with a great natural Rwanda coffee, full of light orange flavors. Great acidity, and decent body. The cold brew is definitely worth trying, especially combined with their tonic water (80/20 should be nice).
Going into the espresso recipe, I was pleasantly surprised by the extraction they used. Even though, in my opinion, the double shot was a couple of mls longer for my taste, that wasn't a problem at all. The experience was exactly as I wanted it to be. A flavorful shot, balanced, with great mouth-feel. The body was also pleasant.
The staff I've encountered was really cool, nice and eager to help. It really shows their passion for coffee, which I really much appreciated.
Definitely recommend it to all people going to Madrid, and locals alike. I'll be sure to visit again every...
Read moreI love this place! It was the closest coffee shop near my hotel and I really needed a coffee. Perfect small menu to make my early morning, precoffee decisions easier. Perfect choices available, for me. The staff are super welcoming. Hannah went out of her way to help. I highly recommend you visit here. Cool vibe and atmosphere out of the midday heat. One complaint: there is no option for electronic tipping. A neglected plastic cup with some coins in it as a pathetic collection to help support the hard working staff. I never have cash on me; I was embarrassed I couldnât leave one. Hannah, Cecillyne and Norelis were so pleasant about me not being able to tip. So friendly and warm. Please, please respect your frontline staff by allowing your grateful customers to support them. I will drop cash in later but itâs not fair on them. Otherwise.. well done on creating a beautiful place for me to fuel my body and have a quiet moment...
Read moreFeliz Coffee is exactly what its name suggests â pure happiness in a cup! The coffee here is exceptional, brewed with precision and passion. I tried both the espresso and a beautifully prepared cappuccino, and each sip was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. Their pastries are equally impressive â the croissant was flaky and buttery, the chocolate chip cookie warm and indulgent with a hint of sea salt.
The space is cozy yet stylish, with a clean, minimal design and playful touches like the quirky wall art that makes it feel unique. The staff were warm, welcoming, and clearly love what they do. Itâs the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy every bite and sip, and feel like part of the neighborhood.
If youâre in Madrid and love good coffee (and good vibes), Feliz Coffee is...
