Ginos — Restaurant in Madrid

The worst Ginos experience I’ve ever had (and we eat in various Ginos around Madrid 2-3 times a month). Tasteless sangría, extremely sour limonade that we couldn’t drink, but the worst was a total lack of service. We went on Tuesday evening, an empty restaurant with just 3-4 tables occupied. We received starter 55 minutes after being seated. Just to place the food order we had to wait like 20-25 min. The waiter just wasn’t there! The empty plates were not timely removed, they brought new sangría jars but didn’t remove empty ones, so we had to put it on other tables. My pizza wasn’t served with other main courses, after a very long wait I had to ask for it. It seems they just forgot about it. The staff wasn’t friendly or helpful. I mean, the food was OK nothing special and NO similarity to the italian cuisine.

The service on the other hand was quite terrible, SLOWest waiters, rude and not tended to speak english at all.

You wait to be seated outside, they say only inside yet two others randoms are allowed so sit here (no reservation nothing) So with 2 tables, and four people (and 5+ wait staff) you wait for 15min untill they take your order, refuse to speak English and are rude as no one else.

No glasses of wine are sold, forced to buy a bottle for 18 (not expensive, but a choice would be nice) no small glass of water, no small bottle of water, only a 1l bottle for 5 euros.

Taste of the lasagna was bland, spaghetti tartufo e uovo was bland, chicken caprese was tasteless.

Never ever again, felt bad so...

Surprised with the rude waitress... When we arrived, there were no customers in the restaurant. It took 6 minutes for the waitress to come and direct us to a seat reluctantly while ignoring to even look at us and acting as if we were a burden. It took her another 11 minutes to bring English menu. Then, other customers came in and she started to serve them and my husband and I were ignored for 15 minutes while other customers were ordering and getting drinks. We called up on her several times and she just walked past us. We finally decided to leave the restaurant...
