A shame. We wanted to have a light dinner. We order some dishes from the menu and we asked if it was possible to have a simple tomato salad (not in the menu) and ,after checking, the answer was yes. Very good food and excellent service. Exceptional "Mollete de ternera" and "croquetas". At the time of payment, I see 16,50€ of a tomato with tuna salad; I ask to correct because what we ordered and ate was a simple tomato. I am said that it is what they have in the menu and they cannot invoice only tomato salad because it is not in the menu. I ask for the manager presence and he insists that he cannot invoice a tomato salad and he propose to bring a free coffee, that we do not want. In a very bad manners he says that will give us back half of the money but that money will be taken out from the employees tips; of course we did not accept and left the restaurant. Unacceptable attitude of the restaurant manager destroying the good quality food and the good service received by...

This review concerns the maître d' Sergio.

After ignoring us for several minutes, he seated us in one section of the restaurant. I suppose we ordered the wrong thing, because he abruptly forced us from our table to another section of the restaurant. We tried ordering again and received the wrong items. We said nothing but ate anyway and called for the check. Only then did Sergio (not our waiter) arrive with the original order, nearly 20 minutes late. When we offered mild protest at paying for these items under the circumstances, he spat the words “YOU ORDERED IT” at us.

There are many cafes and pastelerias in Sol. There is no need to patronize restaurants staffed by those who don’t even attempt to guard their contempt for paying customers. We will never return and have warned others of our experience with...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Castizo, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely fantastic – each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. I highly recommend the Pulpo a la gallega, which was a perfect balance of rich flavors and delicate textures.

But what truly set the experience apart was the service. Our server, Yaneth, was an absolute gem. She was not only attentive and knowledgeable but also genuinely warm and welcoming. She took the time to explain the menu, recommend pairings, and ensure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Her positive energy made the whole dining experience feel even more special.

If you're looking for amazing food and top-notch service, Castizo is the place to be – and definitely...

Quick lunch stop while exploring the streets of Madrid. The menu was varied. However, verging more on a tapas bar than a restaurant for me, others may argue, but that was my thoughts from reading through the menu. Limited to none outdoor seating, however, this did not worry us, as the location, even though being quite central, was a little tucked out the way. The interior decoration was great, and the service was good. The place is popular, so they are doing something right as we were lucky to get a table without a reservation. We had our meal and drink and left as we had more to explore. In summary, it is a great place to have a quick meal and drink, despite having no view of the passing street. Would I go back? Unfortunately, no as many more places dotted around the city in this location.
