Jamón Ibérico.

I've not actually had it yet as I've been a bit fuzzy on how expensive it actually is and have vapor-locked the half dozen times I've tried to pull the trigger. I've seen sandwiches from 3,80 Euro to signs that say 169 Euros a kilo for the REALLY good stuff! We're talking special breeds of black hooved pigs roaming freely eating only acorns. And contraptions the meat cutter slices these slips of pork gold into trays of uber delicacies.

Sweating, the aircon was a nice treat as it edged over 90 and the sun beating down. I stepped in and just asked for one...not pricing anything actually out.

So, my Bocadillo de Jamon was very tasty. An earthy and nutty version of prosciutto. An oiliness that's magical and perfect on a crusty piece of bread. Condiments need not apply. I get why this stuff is similarly priced to mithril.

And the beer paired with this--Estrella Galicia was hoppy, fruity, and crisp...with some bitter. Sort of a cross between a Heffe and an IPA.

I would find later that Spanish take pork so seriously...the best of it fetches over double the best smoked salmon at 71...

I totally enjoyed every minute and every bite in this jamonería cafe. I came here for breakfast and I ordered a typical Madrileño breakfast which is a tostada con tomate (toasted bread with puréed fresh tomato) and olive oil (salt on the side if needed).

I also had their house special (de la casa) breakfast combo which was 1/2 bread, like a short sub) with the tasty and delicious sliced ibérico ham. It was enough for breakfast and it also came with coffee (cafe con leche) or tea for a very good price, only 5 euro.

They have their ham hanging from the ceiling and all kinds of prepackaged sliced ham. I also got the hornazo (cured meat pie) as take away. I haven’t had it yet but it looked good.

Service was friendly, helpful and overall excellent. I would definitely return to try the...

Voy en busca de un café con mi familia y encontramos este bar porque estaba TRANQUILO y decidimos sentarnos en terraza, entra mi prima a pedir las bebidas y le dijeron que nos atenderian en la terraza ok hasta hay perfecto. Decido ir al baño y cuando estoy entrando al baño me para literal una camarera DESAGRADABLE que ni saluda a los clientes nisiquiera una miserable sonrisa y un trato bueno y me dice con un tono bastante déspota " al baño solo pueden entrar clientes" y le digo yo soy cliente estoy en terraza y obvio que le hable en el mismo tono que ella se refirió ami y me mira con una cara de déspota creyéndose más que otra persona y le dice a su compañera ella esta en terraza? Y su compañera no tenía ni idea( hay se ve la comunicacion entre ellos y el pendiente que estan hacia los clientes) y el bar estaba súper tranquilo y le digo yo a la camarera desagradable con un color de pelo marrón claro o naranja, estoy en terraza con mi familia y me dice esperate que tengo que mirarlo y le digo yo vale perfecto, me quita la mirada(todo esto en un tono y una mirada bastante altanera) y me dice entra y entre al baño. No la volví a ver todo el tiempo que estuve en el bar se metió detrás de la barra y de hay no salió me hizo pensar obvio que se equivoco y por vergüenza se escondio porque para empezar se podría dirigir a las personas con más respeto y decirlo con otras formas. Seguia en el bar y se estaba llenando y justo delante mía se sientan 4 persona y los atiende ella la camarera desagradable y los atendió con una sonrisa y encima les dice la camarera a los clientes hay tenéis una ganchillo para colgar los bolsos EN PLAN "AMABLE" para empezar hay que tratar a todos bien y respeto no solamente a ciertas personas y si le va mal en su vida que no se lo lleve al trabajo y menos siendo camarera osea cara al público porque eso incómoda y mucho te comes tus problemas y vas a trabajar con una sonrisa. Te lo dice una persona que también trabaja en HOSTELERIA y si sus jefes le dicen que el baño en uso exclusivo para clientes está muy bien eso se respeta pero hay formas y formas de decirlo. Amabilidad 0 Respeto 0 Atención al cliente -0 De verdad que decepción ya que el.cafe estaba rico... pero deja mucho...
