Waited one hour for one Kabab. That’s ridiculous. They take tons of orders and then try to make them in batches. They would do much better to make them as the customer orders because the amount of time it takes to try to read each receipt and what should or should not be on the Kebab is what’s killing them. If I hadn’t paid upfront and continually thought mine would be next, I would have walked. The food itself is fine, I would say about average at best. No where near worth the wait. They do precut the meat and it does make it dry. I don’t know what the comment about marinade is because it just sits there until they put it into a measured cup and then onto the Kebab. I can see you read the reviews and you do reply. I’m trying to help you out. Make each customers order as they order it. It would solve your time challenges and the dry meat issue. Have your staff in an assembly line order and just knock it out. Oh, and preheat the bread or wrap on the press prior to making a sandwich rather than making the sandwich, rolling it up, and then putting it on the heat press. It will taste better the customer and save time. On the positive side, I will say the staff is nice and they’re trying their best but the business model needs...
Read moreI had such hopes for this place. Coming from Australia, where there are many cultures who have takes on the döner kebab, I was excited to see something more than the usual elephant legs of mystery meat you see here in Madrid.
Sadly, while they put a lot more effort into the meat here they still very much miss the mark. For a start, it's all pre-cut - actually, butchered - so the meat is dry, cut badly and almost like mince. No juiciness, no texture. What a waste.
The bread is small and thin and cannot hold everything together properly. And there is not enough salad, pickles, or anything else really to make the very long wait for your kebab (!) worth it. When you eat it, it falls apart and the whole isn't that satisfying.
The wait really is the cherry on top here - kebabs are a true fast food, but somehow it took nearly 30 minutes to come while waiting for it at the shop. Sorry guys, I want to like you but you...
Read moreLet's do the breakdown with this place that is opening probably a new trend in Madrid/Spain and a new category as well (Bravo for the initiative first of all!): the mixed Durum I ordered: meat is tasty and well cooked as announced, also seems the good quality is there (specially liking the aftertaste with the roasted peaks of the veal and chicken); the 'yufka' pita bread was the most surprising for me, crunchy and perfectly on point. In my humble opinion maybe it becomes a little the real protagonist vs the whole combo, but the sauces and veggies were combined in balanced proportions together with the meat. size, layout and pricing are fair staff: really nice people working there, I was well attended with a smile all the way room for improvement: they are pretty much kicking off and doing great, but speeding up processes as well as delivering at home will turn these 4 stars into 5 with no hesitation,...
