On our last night in Madrid, my husband and I couldn't have Tapas or Pinchos anymore so we tried to search for restaurants around our hotel and Juancho's BBQ was one of top rating recommendation both on google and TripAdvisor.
We were there without much expectation but extremely impressed by their service and what they served. There was no menu in English but the staff explained to us in details. Actually if you don't understand Spanish like us, it would be kind of difficult to order in the food court.
We tried the PLUMA and LA TRUFADA. The wait wasn't too bad about 20-25 minutes after we ordered and it was totally worth it. The PLUMA was well-cooked, soft inside and immediately melt in your month when you have it. The patty in LA TRUFADA was super juicy and great matched with brioche bun. The meals were also served with grilled potatoes which were amazingly creamy and tasty.
My husband and I were so satisfied and decided to visit again for lunch before our flight back to New York. We highly recommend travelers to give them a chance to try their...
Read moreThe burger is amazing, deserves the award(s) it’s received and definitely 5*. BUT nothing else about the experience here is, and I can understand why so many people are annoyed. The queue took 40minutes to order, standing up. After ordering we are informed that the wait for the burger is 30minutes - which is fine and make sense. But after 40 minutes of waiting, this was very disappointing. Take into consideration that the place is inside a small food court of a small market, so it’s open space seating. Finding a place to sit was another mission also. Second concern is presentation, it needs to be worked on. It’s a premium price for a premium meal, the presentation is below average, the potatoes are fine to serve and the sauce is great; but the way it’s served is just not appealing. Having said the above, I would still come back here but not a on a weekend as 75 minutes is simply too long of a wait. Hopefully this...
