I discovered Lovo Cocktail Bar by chance while trying to get into another venue that had a long queue. As my group and I looked for alternatives, we spotted Lovo from the outside. A friendly promoter approached us, explained what the place was about, and kindly offered us what they had and soon enough, we were inside.
To our surprise, the place exceeded all expectations. From the atmosphere to the music and especially the cocktails, everything was exceptional.
The cocktails were absolutely on point. They had creative, fancy names that immediately caught our attention, not only did they sound intriguing, but they tasted incredible too. Each drink was thoughtfully crafted with the perfect blend of ingredients, making the experience not just about the flavor but also the visual appeal. Every cocktail felt like a unique sensory experience, both to look at and to sip.
The ambiance was stylish and cozy, creating the feeling of being somewhere truly unique and refined. The music selection was modern and well-curated, with a volume level that allowed us to enjoy the tunes while still being able to hold conversations and socialize comfortably.
The staff were all fantastic, making sure we had a great experience from the moment we arrived. In particular, I’d like to give special recognition to Marie. She went above and beyond to make our night memorable, attentive, thoughtful, and incredibly friendly. She was consistently refilling our water glasses without us even asking and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the evening. Marie’s energy and personality stood out, she truly deserves a medal for being such a warm and engaging person.
I’m definitely looking forward to coming back and bringing more friends...
Read moreI was worried at first because there were some promoters trying to get us to go in(and I never trust promoters since they obviously have ulterior motives to promote something) but I am glad I caved in to their persistent attempts. This cocktail bar is super imaginative and well decorated. My friend and I stayed at the bar and got a few drinks and we had such a great conversation. The ambience helped with that. The crowd inside is a bit older but if you go there with someone you are already familiar with, you will be fine. Something I have to mention is that the state of the bathroom was great! Bars and clubs here in Spain tend to have their bathrooms in the worst condition so I was grateful that this bar maintained it so well. One con about the place was that the downstairs dance floor was EMPTY! My friend and I felt like dancing after a few drinks and we went to check it out and immediately came back up because there were only like 2 people dancing. I think the crowd is just older so they are less inclined to dance. If you want to party, this is not the place to go to. If you want a chill night with fun drinks and good conversation, this is the perfect place! The bartender (Sara?) was also super attentive and very professional. I would say that this is a less touristy and just as high quality as salmon guru and bad company 1920. It just depends if you want a more youthful hip crowd(salmon guru) or a speakeasy experience(bad company 1920) If you are just basing it on drinks, then Lovo cocktail bar is a good place to go to skip the lines...
Read moreInitially we went to Brutal Bar which is a 3 min walk, but they didn't have a table and the lady there suggested to go here - as it was amazing and was a new opening; she sold it to us as a "MUST go personalised experimental bar", so we had high expectations. The entrance looked very appealing, they have a big door that the lady at the desk opens for you and she explains the senses experience so it sounded quite exciting. To our surprise the place decoration was very basic, gold butterflies around the walls (made it look a bit cheap, I my opinion), the lighting was quite bright and a long velvet bench around. It was very disappointing. The cocktail menu looked nice although we missed the nicer ones as to our surprise they were at the very bottom of the online menu. We didn't have anyone suggesting a cocktail and the whole experience was just that they tell you a little story about the relation between Josephine Baker and the cocktail. I have to say, the staff was lovely and did their best bearing in mind it was a new opening. It was too pricey for my experience this time, but I wish them the best and hopefully they manage to sort things out and make it more cosy and expensive/exclusive looking, as I gathered that's what they're trying to go for; as the inspiration it's...
