My wife and I went to this restaurant on February 25th, 2023, for dinner.

I’m happy to say we're pizza enthusiasts and gourmet cheese lovers for years; especially the naturally fermented ones (for the former) and the matured ones (for the latter). When we searched for this on Google, Luna Rosso immediately appeared. Well, our expectations were high, but unfortunately almost everything else that night didn’t correspond to it.

We asked for a table for two. After waiting a couple minutes, we sat down and asked the manager/owner (we don’t know) a wine suggestion to harmonize with a Marguerita and a Four Cheese Pizza. He gladly recommended us a bottle of Ferdinando Principiano Langhi Nebbiolo 2020, since its young and freshful flavor would be an excellent match for our dishes.

What can I say? Well, the wine was ok; in spite of not being top-notch compared to what I use to drink or perhaps be a little overpriced, it did reasonably match our plates.

However, my pizza came with a few burnt spots (carbonized, dark, burnt, there is no eufemism here - I had to separate them and I’m not exaggerating).

And last, but certainly not least (much for the contrary), after we finished our pizzas, we refused to order desserts and continued drinking our bottle of wine (which was very near the end) when, suddenly, the manager/owner (the same who served us previously) tell us that the restaurant “needs” our table due to a "reservation" (it was 11PM…) and simply put the bill/check on our table…!

Honestly, we were caught in surprise and left in shock. We have never, ever, experienced anything alike or heard of any situation similar to this. I keep wondering if we had asked the desserts: would the owner/manager have kicked us out? My wife and I had to hurry up, drink our last glasses of wine running and leave. I know it’s out of fashion, but let’s call things for their names: the manager/owner embarrased us and we were expelled from the restaurant.

I want to register here that we never experienced anything remotely similar to this, and not only in Madrid, but throughout most of Europe. We’ve visited more than twenty countries and I remember arguing with rude waiters in Paris (it’s quite easy to find a bunch of them there), but never, ever, I mean not even once, anyone - from the bottom to the top of hierarchy staff - “invited” (sic) us to leave a restaurant.

I won’t return; and most important, I don’t and won’t recommend it to anyone!

Leopoldo Racca Rios had a similar experience (read his review, it’s here - please do yourself a favor: don’t read only the supposedly good ones… A restaurant that values excellent customer service shows it’s real face when dealing with bad reviews and solving them, not only five-star oba-oba uhuuu).

Shame on...

The food was really good but the service we had was terrible. Starting from not being able to enter the restaurant before 20:30 (according to google maps it says 20:00 on Sunday and we came a bit earlier than our reservation, and did not expect the kitchen to be open but at least to be seated at 8). We had to wait at a bar nearby, and came back at 20:30. We were 5 people while we had a reservation for 4. Instead of being told that we could or could not add one more person, we were yelled at like school children for not reserving for 5 people in advance. Later the same bearded waiter, using body language, started showing us to be quieter and we were not even loud. Once we started talking at the table about writing reviews and receiving bad treatment, he became nice but you could tell it was fake. That being said, it’s my first bad review on google maps and I’m very disappointed about our experience because it was a...

No volveremos, y sinceramente, no podemos recomendarlo.
