Atlántica Juegos — Local services in Madrid

It is one of the most interesting place for the hobby in Madrid in term of quantity and variety. It is a crammed place full of things, where you will find a huge selection of goodies from boardgames to accessories, from historical wargames to Games Workshop Warhammer line and the like; they do not have everything but they have almost everything, which is perfectly understandable. I saw some paintings done there and those were good enough. They are open 10-20.30, which is very good for people working or on visit, and is primarily focus on sales, as the place does not have a gaming area in the premises. I do recommend this place and is the one I recommend to my international colleagues coming to visit Madrid and being in the city center.

The thing that does not make this place pop as a top one are is the general staff behaviour. I get that there might be tough days, being down at work or whatever persona. Nevertheless... I was almost never been greeted coming in except by a girl at the front desk / boardgames and employee I often saw in the back area (Warhammer, RPG etc.) who has been always polite to check at least once if I needed anything specific or any help, the few times I met him. The other three (four?) were not of the same paste. So counting for only two/three occasions over dozens, does not balance very well. This said, I am an introvert and it might be that taking the time to know the people the general behaviour might be better across all staff. However, greeting should not be a matter of acquaintance...

La atención de los dependientes varía en función del día...

Tienda con muchísimos juegos de mesa, donde puedes encontrar prácticamente cualquier juego, pero el trato deja mucho que desear, y los clientes parecen no importarles mucho pues saben que la tienda está bien ubicada y que no les falta clientela...

Hace unos días fui a buscar varios juegos y se notaba que no tenían ganas ni de buscarlos en el ordenador: uno de ellos incluso estaba en la estantería detrás del dependiente que me estaba atendiendo (star realms, me di cuenta que estaba ahí más tarde) y me dijo que ya no tenían (la caja de sobres estaba a la mitad), otro juego (uno de mazmorras, no recuerdo el nombre) me dijo que no le sonaba, a pesar de que le enseñé la foto en mi móvil, y me dijo que tampoco lo tenían (al cabo de un rato uno de los amigos con los que iba lo encontró al fondo de una de las estanterías, ya que era una caja pequeña). Y tras hacerme con estos dos juegos y a pesar de que no estaba muy contenta con el trato ya que me hicieron sentir muy mal, como que no querían atenderme, añadí dos expansiones del Time Stories, el pack inicial de Mansiones de la Locura, y el Concept (si, día de regalos y compras atrasadas)... Casi 250€, y me advierte el dependiente que si quiero bolsa me la cobra... A ver, entiendo que las bolsas se cobren, pero c*, que me acabo de dejar un dineral, y te has columpiado con tu dejadez cuando te he pedido ayuda con 2 juegos... Ten el detalle de al menos no cobrarme la bolsa... No sé, se llama fidelizar y cuidar al cliente, aunque parece que esta tienda pasa... Que repito, las bolsas se cobran y están en todo su derecho de hacerlo, pero a todos nos gusta que tengan algún detalle y más cuando se acaban de dejar un dineral en tu tienda... Un cúmulo de cosas en un mismo día que ahora hacen que no mire con buenos ojos a esta tienda... Una pena porque me...

Visited this store during a short holiday to Madrid. I was amazed by the fantastic selection of games and miniatures. Whether you are interested in historical games or fantasy wargaming, you will surely find something to take home. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They let you browse at your leisure and are more then ready to help if any question arises. I would suggest for any wargamer visiting the shop to plan at least an hour (or two) to go through the immense amount of inventory available.
