Médium Club — Restaurant in Madrid

I have to start with the fact that I am not their target audience or customer - I was just invited there by a friend, which certainly colors my perspective on this establishment that clearly caters to a very specific clientele. I found the atmosphere to be deeply eccentric and strange, creating an environment that felt more like performance art than a comfortable dining or drinking venue. The overall vibe seemed designed to provoke rather than welcome, which may appeal to some but felt alienating to me.

The cocktails were served not in glasses but in very weird statues of people, which I found hard to drink from. This gimmicky presentation prioritized shock value over functionality, making the simple act of enjoying a drink unnecessarily difficult and uncomfortable.

The roasted sandwich was served cold and unappetizing, demonstrating poor quality that suggested food takes a backseat to the venue's eccentric concept. For a place that charges premium prices, the lack of attention to basic food preparation was disappointing.

At the end of the experience, I just did not feel comfortable there and ended up leaving after an hour. The combination of strange atmosphere, impractical service choices, and poor food quality created an environment where I couldn't relax or...

Debería comenzar esta reseña por las bondades y los servicios del precioso local de estilo Victoriano y ambiente perfecto en plena Malasaña, pero no tengo más remedio que comenzar hablando del personal que te atiende desde que llegas a la puerta y te recibe Magda, con un trato exclusivo y máxima empatía buscando el mejor lugar donde sentarte para disfrutar de esta experiencia única en Madrid, a mi chica y a mi nos sentó en la barra con enorme acierto, donde Paula, experta bartender y mixóloga nos dedicó gran parte de la noche a descubrir nuestros gustos para ofrecernos el cóctel perfecto, sin desmerecer la carta variadísima, curiosa en la redacción y la oferta de mezclas, cocktails y mocktails.

Nuestras peticiones no eran simples y siempre pasaban por incluir picante 🌶️ en nuestras bebidas, algo complicado siempre para acertar en la cantidad exacta que necesita la mezcla y que Paula ejecutó con excelencia. Enhorabuena, el último especialmente estaba delicioso.

Si tienes la suerte también como nosotros de probar más de uno y se te suben un poco a la cabeza, Natalia te podrá preparar junto con su sonrisa imborrable algo rico de comer para empapar la experiencia coctelera. Y si estás en mesa Alexander te los servirá con más sonrisas y tiempos eficientes.

Great atmosphere!! Amazing cocktails!! Incredible service!! I went in there with my friend. Paula was our server. She was so nice, friendly, and professional. Even gave us a short, little Spanish lesson. Lol My friend and I returned a second time because she had told us she would be there. I told her I am a bartender back home in New York and she asked me to make her a cocktail. I jumped behind the bar and proceeded to make her a Boulevardier. It felt just like back home… chatting with the guests, laughing and having fun while making the drink. Definitely a memorable experience!! I would 100% recommend this...
