Madame Sushita — Restaurant in Madrid

I visited this restaurant with my friend to celebrate her birthday. We arrived at 8:20 PM, and at 9:30 PM, when we asked for more water, the waitress—who lacked basic customer service skills—took five minutes to approach us, only to inform us that they could no longer serve us anything. She claimed that our reservation was for 8:00 PM and that we had to leave by 9:30 PM. This was shocking, as I have never been treated this way in any restaurant before.

As a result, we were forced to leave without even having our dessert, which was part of the dégustation menu. They offered to pack it for takeaway, but serving ice cream to-go? No, thank you.

the online description of the menu is misleading, I had ordered something and after receiving my order I realised it was meat ( that I don’t eat ) after calling to the restaurant and ask about it, a girl on the phone who got quickly tired of the conversation just hung up the phone, I was calling for the next few minutes having the food on my table, she didn’t even bother to pick up the phone. Tenía grandes expectativas en este restaurante, por lo que había visto en las redes y la puntuación en Google, pero siendo honesto, es un lugar para instagramers. La ambientación tipo librería podría llegar a gustar pero la moqueta, el papel pintado de jaguar en las paredes y la tela hacen que más que acogedor sea un lugar recargado.

Quitando el estilo que puede gustar más o menos, la comida es bastante normal, las gambas en tempura con chili están buenas, pero como japonés, su sushi, nigiris y makis no están a la altura de un japonés menos mediático donde cuidan más el producto.

No está malo, pero está sobrevalorado.

Algo importante, está saturado de mesas, hay muy poco espacio entre distintas mesas y tienes poca intimidad para mantener una conversación sin que te oigan o sin oir a los de la mesa de al lado. Tiene varias zonas y alguna está un poco mejor, pero cuando haces la reserva tienes que indicar qué mesa exacta quieres tener o incluso te puede tocar una mesa que está en el pasillo. Literalmente es el pasillo de entrada, entre la barra y una librería. Los camareros pasarán con la bandeja por encima de tu cabeza, tendrás el trajín de camareros yendo a la barra, la gente entrando pasando por tu lado constantemente. Los que vienen a recoger pedidos estarán esperando de pie a tu lado.

Así que la única opción que hay por lo que me dijeron es que escribas en los comentarios de la reserva que quieres una mesa específica, así que o conoces el local y te has leído esto o suerte con la mesa...
