The restaurant is very pretty, I went for lunch with my 2 girls and they loved the decoration! We had lunch menu which was very good value like most places in central Madrid. Food was ok, sushi’s were better than the noodles and rice (both bit plain) but surely it is a Japanese restaurant for the westerners. I normally don’t like Asian desserts but the chocolate cubes were divine! Sooo delicious! As I love dark chocolate!
The negative experience was on my coffee, I don’t take any sugar or sweetener but on my last sip I felt something inside my mouth and I spat out straight away. It was a little dead (of course!) fly/bug which was on the bottom of my cup. Totally disgusting. I told the staff but they didn’t seem to care but offered another one one which I refused. I know they can’t do much at that stage, but at least they could genuinely take in my comment/complaint and also they could offer me a little discount on my bill. I’ve ran restaurants in the past and this would be the minimum they could do! Anyway, I won’t be rushing to come...
Read moreI went to this restaurant with my girlfriend in the hopes of finding good sushi. I was extremely disappointed by the ambiance of the restaurant, when we entered there was no one to greet us. We had to go around the counter to find a waiter ourselves.
The lighting was not to my liking to say the least, i don’t think bright pink is best for an eating experience but hey what do i know.
We ordered two Norway Mixes and the real problems started. I found a small plastic ball in my sushi, it was really hard like i was eating a pebble. I called up one of the employees who proceeded to tell me that “in our kitchens we don’t have this”. I thought they would take away the plate but no they left it there. I also had the chance to pay full price for it.
To add on to this spectacle, the waiter started singing in the restaurant and whistling while taking away some dirty glasses.
I would not take anyone I know there, I am happy to have made it back home with my full...
Read moreIn return to this brand each time I am in Madrid because of their consistency in delivering a fantastic product. Their brand is probably the best execution of a brand I have seen in any brand to date. Today we had the lunch special and opted to pass on the included dessert and, instead, opted for an additional starter. The salmon and rolls were very good as was the gyoza withings thin and lightly crispy shell. The only thing that varies at each location is the service team. This particular location today did not really represent the brand as I have come to expect from other locations in Madrid. The service staff was cold, seemed distracted and were not really welcoming even though the restaurant was not at all crowded, which was...
