The restrant is in the centre, easy to reach. Was suggested us as a place with a good meal (menu of the day was recommended). Well, This restaurant made a mixed impression on me .. It's big and overcrowed but tables are under control, as soon as one is empty, you will have a sit. We were waiting in a line for 15 min approximately. Majority of visitors are local, so you won't find an English menu here. Our question to get one was found as very irrotating. The lady who came as the one to help had a very pure English and wasn't really nice. We basicaly understood only paella and chicken. The menu of the day consists of 2 dishes and vine. Salads are not an option! So you basically will get 2 second fishes and vine. Portions are large, for 1 person os quite a lot. So if you hangry and do not mind paella and then potato free with chicken, lets say, come here ) Food was good, not something very special. We could easy share 1 for 2. Service, except for they are not interested in tourist )) I was impressed by the speed they change table cloths and prepare table for the next visitors. Order collection and delivery is...
Read moreYou may think being on the square all bars and restaurants will be very expensive as it is one of the top touristic places, also as you walk by all the staffs will be inviting you over and sharing a menu. Suggestion, don't try any other place that is not el Museo del Jamon, i wouldn't tell it is the best or the nicest, but definitely you pay for what you get. Food is good and they have almost something for every single type of food, the only difference is that even being located in the same area than others, you pay a normal amount of money for the service and food. all other places are overpriced for the same quality and food. i have to confess, i wanted a more relaxed space or bar style, they have pink table settings outside with tablecloth and napkins and it's a bit too much for a beer and tortilla - but the other ones with less fancy look are way more expensive. Example 2 salads 3 beers 1 gazpacho 1 coffee 1 dessert at Museo del Jamon we paid around EUR 40. in the place next to it for 1 plate of jam and 2 beers I...
Read moreThe quality of their ham is good but the service is pretty bad. A middle-aged male clerk at the bar on the ground floor was very rude. I didn't know the ham I bought on first floor couldn't be eaten in the store, so I sat at the bar area with the beer I just bought on the bar and enjoyed the ham. But this clerk yelled at me and asked me to get out with a roar that everyone could hear. I was very surprised and embarrassed, I apologized to him and explained that I didn't know that I couldn't eat take away ham in the store. However, he still yelled and asked me to get out. I felt very bad with the service as I know their food is great.
This is my first time visiting Spain. Although I can’t read and speak Spanish, I know most people in the Spain is very friendly and happy to help foreigners. I hope this bad experiences won’t happen to other people again and hope this rude male clerk can have empathy for travellers who really like to explore something...
