Mal servicio y comida decepcionante. No lo recomendaría a nadie.

We came here since we were nearby and they had a set menu but the service was pretty awful and the waiters don’t have a good attitude. They are in a rush and are impolite, and also take forever to take your order etc. One of the waiters was very annoying and kept harassing people to come dine in which was annoying to witness every other minute. They only pay attention to you until you sit down and then they ignore you once you’re sat. The inside of the restaurant smells awful because of all the ham and eating in the terrace is hot and there’s people smoking. The food wasn’t good either; we had a steak and pork and the meats were both amazingly completely tasteless save for their toppings (salt flakes for the steak and caramelized onions for the pork). Arroz con leche was extremely watery and the fried eggplants tasted faintly of seafood which makes us think that they reused the oil that they used fry the calamari. We also each got a different set menu and were planning to share and were told that was not possible and that we each have to eat our own dish which is absolutely ridiculous. We both ordered our own food and it’s our business if we want to share half of our orders with each other. All in all would not recommend at all. Disappointing experience that left a bad taste in my mouth both figuratively...

Living in La Latina, I've been here a number of times. As everyone has said, the prices are decent. The food is good. But the service is lacking. Everytime we've gone the service has been nothing special or the waiter has been outright rude.

Last night we went and my girlfriend wasn't able to finish her food. She ordered grilled chicken breasts, fries, and a salad. We asked the waiter for a to-go box for a chicken breast and the salad. The waiter arrives with a sheet of aluminum foil and a plastic bag. A sheet of aluminum foil for a piece of chicken and a salad? When he left I took out my camera to get a picture of this absurdity. When the waiter was on his way back to give us the bill he noticed the camera and asked if we'd decided not to take the food to go as we hadn't packed it away. My girlfriend tells him she wanted a box. He made an excuse they didn't have any but that he'd look again. He returned with a box ultimately. But why do we have to whip out a camera before he actually does his job?

This waiter is an older Cuban guy. He's a big guy with salt and pepper hair and glasses. His name is Pepe. Avoid him because this is not the first time we've had bad...

Had the Jamon sampler of 4 here. The most expensive one in the sampler (100% Iberico Bellota) was the best but not really impressive. It tastes like the vacuum packaged 5J I had before, which is similarly priced, but that was stale ham pre-sliced and stored in fridge for months. The cheapest one was barely edible, like chewing a piece of salted plastic. The bread was terrible too. Dry, hard, with no texture. We liked the Mediterranean salad we ordered better.

The portion is big, on the other hand. The sampler of 4 (42 euros) is enough for 4-6 people.

Service was pretty much nonexistent. The servers barely speak any English and that was not even the biggest problem. They were not focused on their job and getting their attention was almost impossible.

However, if after reading all of this, you still want to have a comprehensive experience of Spanish Jamon at this place, they have a second joint only steps away from this location in Plaza de Mayor. They offer the same menu but the price is...

Oh dear..Expected alot from this place, unfortunately it did not meet expectations. Sat on the terrace in Plaza Mayor, good location and atmosphere. Staff were ok, gave us english menus(we could have managed the spanish ones)but not wine list..found that on the website. There was a communication error with the starter as my husband wanted a starter,I did not. I ordered the Iberian ham, hubby..the steak. I have to admit the disappointment on receiving my plate..considering it was 29€ There was a substantial amount of tomato and peppers, the pork looked grey and poorly cooked. I returned it and they brought another, more colour this time but raw inside. My husband during this time ate alone. The lady serving us, tried very hard but at this point I just wanted to leave. Just to note prices are more expensive in the evening.

Good outdoor place for a spot at the plaza de Mayor. Saw lots of branches of Museo del Jamon in Madrid so gave it a try. Good selection of different offerings on the menu, including single dishes, tapas to paella. Had garlic prawns, Jamon de bellota (€19 option which was the second most expensive) and octopus. All were good. Perhaps with the shrimps I would expect them to clean the guts, rather than leave the black guts clearly visible. It's more about having a spot in the square to be honest! What I did like about the place is you do see locals eating there as well as buying ham and cheese from there, not just tourists. Unhurried service which is nice, no one rushed us to leave after lunch and they are happy for people to just chill with a drink and tapas after the meal.

Stopped in for dinner of Tapas while at the Plaza. The atmosphere was good with comfortable vibes. However the food was not worth the visit. The prize winning croquettes was literally the worst I have had this entire trip. They were tiny stodgy balls with absolutely no Jamin in them. They should be ashamed to call them croquettes. The chorizo in cider was fair but the Jamon tasting selection was underwhelming. It was dry and tasteless. The black pudding lacked any character and the peppers were overdone. This is one of those tourist trap restaurants that everyone warns you about. I would give it a miss
