Went to Oven after our first full day/night in Madrid and trying to adjust to time change etc. We were tired, hungry and just wanted to sit down and have a full meal. We were very impressed from the time we walked in, We were greeted nicely, asked for a table of 7 and told to wait. Within less than 5 minutes we were seated with menus and immediately approached by our waiter to take drinks orders. He was a wonderful nice young man named JOHEY (not sure if I spelled his name right) He was so attentive as well as all other staff. We had great delicious appetizers of burrata, ham, cheeses etc and all were great. We had 2 kids in our party and one ordered simple pasta and the other pizza both dishes were excellent. Someone else ordered the lasagna and the tagatelle with eggplant, risotto, also delicious. Our first night out for dinner at OVEN which was right by our apartment was GREAT. We returned several times after to get take out for the kids because they loved the pasta and pizza Thank you OVEN...
Read moreStumbled into this restaurant unexpectedly an hour before close. We had just arrived to Madrid and we’re not expecting to find a great restaurant without a reservation. Luckily they had one open table and generously sat and served us. We had two apps which were phenomenal and had a pizza and the braised beef ravioli. To say it was good would be an understatement, this place was unbelievable and was the highlight restaurant of my tour of Europe. I come from the United States where we have great Italian food in the major cities, however Oven is up there with the best of the best even in the states. The service was mediocre however it’s rare to find good service in Spain, but the food 100% makes up for it. The beef ravioli was absolutely spectacular and the cheese fondue bread bowl was unforgettable as well. If you are in town I absolutely recommend you visit this restaurant. You will go to bed with a smile...

We visited here in September 2024. My brother-in-law loved the beer. I found the aperol spritz a bit bitter but I think that's how it's supposed to be. But my choice, the strawberry mojito, was absolutely yummy.
Our main course was two pizzas (forgive me for forgetting their names but you can show your server the photos and ask them the names). I think it was the best Italian meal I have had since ages. The perfect combination of crusty and chewy, and toppings that made my day.
The pasta, too, was awesome. Pro tip: Order their bread basket to go with it to deepen your experience. The bread is so good you'll feel like eating just that!
We finished with the icing on the cake — a tiramisu and a cheesecake.
A special shout out to Abigail, who served us with great love and...
