This place is an absolute gem. I’ve been living in this neighborhood for a little over a year and had no idea this gem existed. Came upon it a couple of nights ago and this is one of the better burger joints I’ve been to in Madrid. Mad props to the process of actually cooking the burger to the desired preference (I like my burger patty dead af). This place is fire. If you’re in the La Latina/Palacio neighborhood, do yourself a favor. It’s a small spot like many in Madrid and the food is bomb, as is the decor and overall atmosphere is straight flames. They brought us menus in Spanish and we translated them to English using “Google translate” and it took some time. The waiter came to our table to get our order and we told her that the menus are in Spanish, so it takes time, and she responded with: “You are in Spain, so you should learn Spanish before visiting”. She tried being polite afterwards, but she couldn’t undo what she said. Tourism contributes to ~12% of your GDP. Learn how to handle tourists, please. Xenophobia isn’t the best way to earn money. By far this is the worst reaction from a waiter I got anywhere...
