We got there at noon on a Sunday, which was a bit early for lunch so it wasn’t crowded and we got a table easily without a reservation. With our drinks we were served Montaditos de Jamón Serrano and Manchego cheese. We ordered two Mini tortillas and it was enough for 5 people. The tortillas were juicy and choke full of cheese, they were served with a sauce of Piquillo peppers (absolutely delish!) and another of green bell peppers. The food was very tasty and I would only point that the beer should have been colder, but this is an issue that is very common in Europe. Not sure if when it’s crowded the service starts to fail, but we have no complaints. We will come back.

Wouldn’t usually leave a review, but decided to share the experience we had at Taberna La Buha La Latina to prevent the same from happening to other customers. We visited for dinner and ordered from the paper menu, which didn’t show any prices. Based on our experiences at similar restaurants in Madrid, we ordered 3 plates to share between 2 people, which we thought would be a suitable amount (patatas bravas, calamari and the mini tortilla). The patatas bravas and calamari arrived and the portions were clearly for 4-6 people - we tried to cancel the order for the mini tortilla yet to arrive, which the waitress initially said was fine, but later told us wouldn’t be possible. The food was ok, but there was far too much (leftover food pictured) and it ended up being a lot more expensive than we’d expected. The waitress never said anything about the huge portion sizes, and we felt like we were being taken advantage of as tourists somewhat.

Extraordinarily bad. We ordered two of the tortillas costing €12.50 each. The first with mushrooms and truffles contained 3 measly pieces of mushroom dispersed through the entire 1kg tortilla and no sign of any truffle flavour (see photos attached). The sauce was an insufficient little spoonful and when I asked for more they said it would be an extra 50 cents. The rest of the tortilla was so dry without any flavour, just undercooked potato. The second was onions and goat cheese and the same situation; sparse ingredients with the majority just being dry, dry potatos. Went here after seeing a video recommending this place as the best tortilla in madrid. Don't be fooled by this tourist trap. I feel so cheated and dissapointed beyond belief. We were in a hurry so couldn't complain at the time and reluctantly paid. I wish we hadn't and want a refund for at least one of the tortillas as it was nothing as advertised. Please resolve this.

This a must in Latina. Do yourself a favor and make sure you go The criquetas are tasty but not very creamy my only complaint The Tortilla with cebolla caramelizada is a must very tasty The octopus legs are very good a bit chewy but worth it My main praise is Flavia and the rest of the servers true rockstars, the atmosphere is simply perfect and the wine list is 10/10 good selection good prices. Well located downtown with bus and metro close by they have two locations near each other. The food is great and I highly recommend going We will be back 100% truly a food destination in Madrid.

This hs been recommended to us by a local. The places is way overrated. The tortillas are really big.(Even the mini tortilla hs 500 gr) And they are cooked the way they have to be cooled.Still a bit liquid in the middle. But We had Eggshells in our tortilla plus some chunks of onion that are not chewable and they are completely tasteless. Some salt would be good. The same goes for the croquetas. Quite big but they are missing salt as well. There are other places around where you get a better value for your money.
