Upscale restaurant.. It's a traditional Navarran steakhouse. Also, Navarra is probably the best garden region in Spain. So you must try vegetables. All has attention to detail. .

The txistorras (grilled little chorizos) are free, come a as pre starter

This place will work if you want a more intimate setting.

It's not cheap but it has been recognised as one of the most distinguished meat and vegetable dishes places in Madrid. They serve all sorts of vegetables fresh from the Navarran farms.

Large grill. The mixed vegetables (menestra de verduras) is a signature dish from the region, so it's a must. .

The chuleton (aged steak) is the most popular. And the fish rodaballo (grilled turbot) was extremely well cooked. The aged steak is served in a sizzling dish, so no touch!

Perfectly cooked thick potato frites, golden, lightly salted, fluffy and crispy.

Perfect evening. The service was perfect, not rushed but not slow.

I've tried for the first time cardos with almendras (white root vegetables in almond sauce with ham).

Reservations is a must.

We also ordered a bottle of Rivera del Duero, from the region too, some pimientos rojos asados (roasted red peppers), traditional from the region. They're a protected specialty, so taste very different from what you would normally find in a...

The people who work here are TERRIBLY rude. They will literally push you around to get by you instead of “excuse me, pardon me.” Way too pushy. We say thank you very kindly, and they wouldn’t respond at all until much later in the evening, and even then they weren’t kind about it, it felt very forced.

The flavor of my steak was great, and I ate the entire thing… but I had to spit out an unchewable chunk with every bite. A chore to eat. My friend’s fish was undercooked and had terrible flavor. The artichoke appetizer wasn’t very good, and not prepared properly. Also had to spit out the touch parts.

The food wasn’t great, but the complete lack of friendliness was terrible.

Cherry on top: The toilet room (the only place to use the restroom privately) had no functional lights, so I had to use my PHONE FLASHLIGHT in order to see. This is extremely unsanitary.

We...

We were craving for some good chuletón and went here for dinner. For starters we ordered their one racion fritas and hongos a la parrilla. For the main course we obviously got their chuleta vaca rubia gallega. The steak was grilled perfectly, medium rare as we requested.

This next bit has nothing to do with the food but with the ambiance. I’m Asian and proud to be one but I couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable as I noticed that I was being started at/observed by some of the people working in the kitchen. I was seated facing the kitchen (which has glass walls perhaps so customers get a view of how the meat is grilled). It just made my experience a bit weird.

Ah and for dessert we had tiramisu. But at this point I already just wanted to...

These 2 stars go wholly to the chefs as the flavours were great, as for the service.. (disclaimer I am an English speaker not Spanish) it was non existent! They just couldn't communicate with me in the capital city!? It's a real shame as they didn't bring me what I asked for & they then brought me things I didn't ask for so if you speak Spanish come here I'm sure you will have a great experience but if you don't speak Spanish perhaps you should try somewhere else. I hope the owner is able to read this & make changes as it's a real shame the wait staff are unable to communicate at all with the customer in English (I'm polishing up on my Spanish too)
