Honestly, this is a gem of a restaurant in Madrid. If you are in the mood for some delicious seafood and fish dishes, this place offers excellent choices and at a very reasonable price! It is located in the Ibiza area of Madrid, two steps from the El Retiro park and surrounded by an infinity of other restaurants, which are also very good. We ordered the chick peas with jumbo shrimp 🦐 and the garlic shrimp, both of which were part of their specialties list. Their house white wine was perfectly matched to pair with these delicious dishes. The shrimp could not be fresher. The garlic shrimp comes with a special sauce which is a bit on the hot side, but it was bearable. Unless you don’t like spicy hot foods. We also ordered a mixed salad and I have to say that I have never tasted such deeply intense flavored tomatoes 🍅 in my life! Reserva 10/4/24 para 4 a la 15:30h en zona de barra. Intentáis desde la pandemia maximizar el gasto y por lo tanto sólo permitís reservas de 1,5h no ya para doblar si no para triplicar servicios. El problema viene con que en este último turno de las 15:30h no tenéis abierta la cocina durante toda la 1,5h si no que cerráis a las 16:30h de lo cual no se informa en ningún momento. Ayer hicimos un primer pedido de 5 platos y cuando estábamos con el 4º plato me dirigí al camarero a pedir otros 3 platos. El camarero con muy malos modos me empezó a reprochar que no hubiera pedido todo de una vez y a decirme que claro que la cocina cerraba a y media (eran las 16:10h). Nos enzarzamos en una discusión en la cual me reprochaba que el terminaba a las 17:00h de trabajar y que "siempre" cierran la cocina a las 16:30h. Como si fuera algo que yo tenga que conocer por arte de magia. Y esto a pesar de que soy cliente habitual desde vuestra apertura. En cualquier caso, el comportamiento del camarero me parece completamente fuera de lugar, enzarzándose en una discusión sin sentido cuando ni la cocina estaba cerrada todavía, ni nos avisó al tomar nota de que esto iba a ocurrir y que si pensábamos comer algo más sería mejor pedirlo directamente. En cuanto a la politica que yo considero sin sentido de triplicar mesas y más aun sin dar servicio de cocina durante toda esa 1,5h supongo que nada cambiará porque seguís llenando pero llegará el día en el que poco a poco nos iremos cansando y esos nuevos clientes que se encuentren con esta situación dejarán de ir. En cualquier caso creo que deberiais cambiar vuestra comunicación y avisar al hacer la reserva que la cocina cierra a las 16:30h de igual forma que avisais de que la duración de la reserva es de 1,5h. Por último, recomendaría al camarero que nunca entre en discusiones con los clientes y más aún discusiones como esta sin sentido en el que ni siquiera estaba cerrada la cocina todavía. El maitre que me nos conocemos de vista de ocasiones anterioires presenció desde la barra la disusión sin intervenir y sin interesarse por nuestro punto de vista. Me giré justo en ese momento y le saludé para hacerle consciente de que estaba ahí y de que estaba presenciando lo que estaba ocurriendo. Para los que acudimos a Castelados a comer y no a picar algo, 1,5h se queda completamente corta para poder comer a un ritmo medianamnete razonable. Pensad que desde que se inciia la reserva hasta que se sirve el primer plato suele trascurrir al menos media hora.
