RESTAURANTE EL SALTON — Restaurant in Madrid

I am only giving this 3 stars for the guy who was a young one and super kind to us, initially they said (manager and old lady) the whiskey we wanted was 6€ a cup, then after 2 rounds of beer and 3 cups of whiskey, we get the bill, they charged 10€ for the whiskey and when I said the menu prices were different, the old man, who seems to be the manager said, the prices are updated in their system… my bf speaks english and he was the one handling everything, TOURIST DONT COME HERE, THEY WILL ABUSE YOU, we paid 40€ for 2 rounds of double and 3 shots of whiskey… the old man said, go in front and argue with the lady… what? Never coming...

Waited at least half an hour to get a table in the back, which was alright since it was a weekend night. We ordered the sea bass, croquettes, veal, and a salad. The seabass was a small portion and the grilled vegetables especially the onion were undercooked. The veal was much too tough, and we struggled to even cut through it, let alone chew it. The staff was able to replace the dish, somewhat reluctantly, with oxtail stew, which seemed like a small portion...

This place is rather small and cramped, but the small bar seemed to be okay. I waited 30 minutes for a table, which was a lot longer than they said it would be. Food was not very good, and neither were the portions for the expensive price. The veal was very tough like others have said, so do not order that. The taste of the rest of the dishes were okay. The staff were not friendly and not happy. There was only one bathroom downstairs, and...
