During my time in Madrid, I found myself returning every morning to Ambu's Umbo Coffee on Pez Street for my daily coffee fix. Despite the café being consistently bustling with patrons, the staff always managed to serve with efficiency and a smile. I religiously ordered the batch brew coffee to go, and it never failed to impress. Each cup was expertly brewed, rich, and full of flavor - a true testament to Ambu's dedication to coffee excellence. Be warned: later on the day they stop making filter coffee and you’d have to settle for americano; which left me left disappointed in their service to regulars. Even though I only had the opportunity to try their batch brew, it was evident that Ambu's Umbo Coffee prides itself on delivering high-quality coffee. The cafe's lively atmosphere and steady stream of loyal customers were clear indicators of its well-earned reputation. If you're ever in Madrid, be sure to pay a visit to Ambu's Umbo Coffee and treat yourself to a cup of their outstanding batch brew coffee. With top-notch coffee and friendly service, it's a must-visit for any coffee enthusiast.

Great coffee and food, they have kombucha, breakfast, quality coffee and fast internet. I believe they have multiple locations but this one is quite nice for a quick takeout coffee or if you want to use their wifi and laptop while having a chance to snack it’s a good option. Self serve filtered water and open areas for Intimate dining or community / groups. No clear marked spaces for working zones, my only complaint. Because afternoon staff will come and kick you out if you need to take a call in the side room even if it’s a empty shop.

Stopped in this cute corner shop today while in the area. I ordered the geisha metido and the alqadah pour overs and the funky chocochip cookie. The coffee was well brewed, quality and fair priced, served with two cups each which made it easy to share. The cookie was chewy, with nice chocolate chunks. Not five stars because the seating is uncomfortable and I would have appreciated more information about the coffees. Nonetheless, I highly recommend their pour overs! It is uncommon to find a place with three types of geisha coffee available!

Sunday morning meeting my friend for breakfast. He was late. I ordered a coffee and sat down. While waiting for him. I opened my laptop to call my mum. The guy who delivered the coffee said to me “you cannot work here!, you have to leave” I was like i am not working. I am waiting for my friend. He pointed at the sign. No working. Yes you want to make business. But telling your customer to leave the second you deliver the coffee. this is rude. I only sat down less than 2 mins. You can explain saying you cannot let ppl work here or stay too long. What is the manner here in Spain?! Also racist as my Spanish is bad he doesn’t even let me finish my sentence and left me behind with a take away cup.

This is another level a rudeness. To a paid customer. I am really don’t like to treated this way. This shouldn’t be...
