Restaurante La Corazonada — Restaurant in Madrid

I was only here for a quick coffee, it seemed nice but the bathroom was terrible and messy. Can’t comment on the food as I didn’t try it.

Someone had messed up the toilet so I had to “hover” over it and there wasn’t even any toilet paper so I had to use my own tissues. It was an uncomfortable experience. I’m glad to know it was a one-off thing, if you are being accurate, but I don’t like the condescending attitude in your response. I travelled in Spain/Catalonia for a week and visited many places in both Madrid and Barcelona and started reviewing them after the trip. You can’t miss a meal at this restaurant if you’re in Madrid. I only gave this place 5 stars, because I couldn’t give it 6. The food is wonderfully local and delicious, but the staff are even more so.

There is both a breakfast and day menu. I came for breakfast on the first day, and I came back for lunch the very next day. The owner was a delight to chat with and I enjoyed all of his food recommendations. I had gambas al ajillo, paella, and most of the desert menu. The lava cake (coulant de chocolate), tartas, and flan were all savory indulgences.

We had an absolutely delicious meal here! We ordered half a kilo of meat, and it was incredible — so tender and flavorful, honestly some of the best meat I’ve ever tasted. An explosion of the senses!

We also had a "Crazy heart" salad with salmon, cheese, nuts, mushrooms, and spinach — such a unique and tasty combination. The artichokes with jamón were also fantastic.
