Travel to China flavors without moving from Madrid.
YiJiangNan is in context to their offering as all the decoration and space is align to its home country.
The table welcomes you with some Chinese chips, instead of bread. They taste between spicy/sweet and they are very crispy enough.
We ordered the hot Sour & Spicy broth which was a bit too spicy for some of us and strong condimented. Try it if you visit it during winter, as it will stir you up. We also included and we strongly suggest to order the following:
Gyozas with truffle/duck: I liked how all of the gyozas were baked as they didn‘t melt or crumbled in your mouth. They were consistent in shape and could easily taste the meat. Spinach Gyozas: they were stuffed with plenty of it, and I really like spinach, so one of my favorites. Pekin & Crunchy Almond Magret Duck: two of the best main courses in the menu so far. The meat was tender and well prepared. My only recommendation to the restaurant is to try to serve pieces that have more meat with it and less grease portion. Fried Rice with duck & truffle: a more condimented version of the traditional fried rice with vegetables. Variety of Sum Selections: another entrèe you must order. You will be able to try the best of their best gyozas, including the spinach and truffle duck one plus the lobster and Iberian pig one. Sweet potato noodles with vegetables: another great side besides the Truffle Duck Fried rice that will play along very well with any of the other items you order.
The only plate I would discard from the ones we considered is the King Fried Rice and just because it is the typical fried rice that you can find at any traditional Chinese restaurant.
In general, YiJiangNan is the perfect Chinese option to eat if you are around the area. Not the best Chinese I have ate, but good if you are with plenty of appetite for it. Don‘t expect the dishes to surprise you with a unique flavor or even considering visiting the area just to eat this. Simply a nice place were you will find comfort...
Read moreThis Chinese fusion restaurant exudes rich Chinese culture with its gorgeous decor. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive to diners' needs.
We opted for their set menu for two, priced at 49.95 EUR, which included two appetizers, four Chinese stir-fry dishes, and a plate of fried rice. We complemented our meal with a golden sand fried pumpkin dessert, and with drinks, our bill totaled almost 70 EUR. My favorite dishes were the PALOMITAS DE POLLO ESTILO SICHUAN and the BERENJENA YUXIANG, although all portions were on the smaller side.
This establishment is beautifully decorated and falls into the mid to high-end category for Chinese fusion dining, making it ideal for family gatherings or business meetings. While the prices may be slightly steep considering the portion sizes, the quality of the food is commendable. It's a fantastic option for those seeking upscale...
Read moreIt’s a decent option. I can see why people like it, decor they made an effort looks nice at a glance but look closer it’s cheap materials and poor workmanship. Food is ok not bad, less bastardised than other Chinese restaurants in Madrid but for the prices they charge the food is ok only. We tried quite few dishes, in fact for their dish of pancetta 東坡肉 they really need to make it much more tender (restaurants including this one shortcut it by cooking in pressure cooker, so suggest to cook 30 minutes more since it’s all precooked anyways). When we went a lot of Chinese customers but again I think it’s a lack of options of Chinese restaurants in Spain with good food and...
