I am a regular visitor to the Ritz Hotel, coming with friends once or twice a month as I live nearby. So, around 2.000€ only for drinks a year. However, I have consistently been disappointed with the level of service provided. And now it reached the limit.
The hotel itself is beautiful with a magnificent terrace, but the service is subpar compared to what one would expect from such an establishment.
Firstly, the hosts/hostesses are often unreasonably rude and slow in informing guests about table availability. It is their responsibility to be aware of table availability and not keep guests waiting unnecessarily. Additionally, their demeanor is often impolite. On one occasion, despite there being plenty of free tables, we were initially denied a table for three with a very unpleasant gesture until we escalated the issue to the management. And magically they found a table at the same moment.
Secondly, there seems to be a lack of coordination among the staff. Different waiters sometimes approach the same table to inquire about orders, leading to confusion. Furthermore, there have been instances where orders were not accurately remembered or served as requested.
During my last visit on July 9th, the service was particularly disappointing. We ordered cocktails and ice cream with champagne. The ice cream was initially served in a paper cup, a far cry from the expected presentation at the Ritz. Besides they brought the wrong one. The champagne lacked bubbles, indicating a possible issue with the bottle or glass cleanliness. The waiter told us that the bottle was just opened though I saw with my own eyes it was only 2/3 and it was opened before. The subsequent glass was unsuitably small and only half-filled, giving a less than luxurious experience.
Additionally, the practice of serving nuts on the terrace is concerning, as the area is known to attract birds and flies. And I personally saw how they mix the uneaten nuts that other guests left with the new ones, so you have to share your nuts with flies.
Observing staff smoking near the rear entrance and then handling food without changing or washing their clothes further diminishes the dining experience.
One of my friend’s car was robbed on the parking in front of the hotel while we were having dinner in the hotel last year. I know the parking is public and the hotel is not responsible but the staff didn’t show any interest to help.
In conclusion, if if you want to feel special and some luxury the Ritz Hotel is not the place anymore. The current standard falls short of what was once expected from the Ritz. I hope this feedback will prompt the necessary changes to enhance the overall...

Read moreLatte was the most expensive (8€) by far the worst latte I’ve had so far in Spain (worse than 2€ lattes on the trains and flights). I never shrink away from spending more or even exorbitant amounts for a good latte, but this one was just a major disappointment, especially given the restaurant in which it was served. Overall food was pretty good; we just wanted to grab a quick bite before dinner. Service was great, aside from our waitress, who seemed to be very irritated at us...
