An unforgettable dining experience at the Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid. From the moment I arrived, the service and ambiance reflected the elegance of this iconic property. The evening began with a crisp glass of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs paired with house aperitivos. The Flor de Alcachofa con Jamón al Josper was delicate yet deeply flavorful, while the Pan de Aceite del Jardín added a rustic touch. The standout starter, the Brocheta Wagyu y Sumac, was cooked to perfection—tender, rich, and beautifully presented. For the main course, the Frit de Langosta en Paella was an absolute showstopper, with the lobster as the star of the dish. Accompaniments like Tomate Rallado and Alioli tied the meal together effortlessly. A glass of Santo Syrah, selected with care by Yoany M., the sommelier, provided the perfect finish. What elevated the evening beyond the exquisite cuisine was the impeccable service: Daniel M. (hostess), Maria (server), Leo (server), and Yoany M. (sommelier) each contributed with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. Their attentiveness ensured every detail was seamless, making the experience as memorable as the food itself. A flawless 5-star evening that reaffirms why this dining room is one of Madrid’s true culinary jewels.

I visited the Garden at the Ritz after a visit to the Prado. It was a hot day, and the garden seemed like the perfect place to be. I got a table by the fountain and the rest went like a dream.I had the fried Andalusian squid with aioli sauce and Tuna tartar with avocado mousse and wakame algae. They were both almost perfect. I accompanied the food with a cold Albarino, the best Spanish white wine. Service was excellent, watching the team deliver their service was like enjoying a ballet performance. All of them were impeccable. Although the food and the wine were of top quality, I think what made the difference was the quality of service. The Ritz of Madrid have reached an impressive height here. Value of money for this level of food and service is very high.

Very nice terace, and great drinks. Eventhough I just had a Mahou, I enjoyed its taste a lot more than normal. That being said, the service was slow to take our order, the menu is mega long and pricing is out of touch. That is to say, wine glasses starting from 14 euros and croquetas (6) for 18 euros, being one of the cheapest dishes. If this was still the Spain of the 1950s I would understand but Madrid is a modern city where tourists have no trouble finding a nice save place to eat. I am happy the hotel finally reopened after being closed for such a long time and jealous of the people working there but I cant recommend it.

Beautiful place, good service (very polite and professional staff) but unfortunately the food is mediocre. Since opening, the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. The service was good, plates presentation is nice, but the preparation and the mix of flavors were of very poor quality: the fish was half raw and cold (should be "a la plancha"), the squid was also undercooked, the ceviche was so-so, the taste was not very good, as if the ingredients were not very fresh (even if we finished the plates, because we were super hungry, but regretted it for half a day that we done it). Good thing nobody got sick... Well, to recap: it was a BIG disappointment. I would expect this quality of food at a cheap roadside cafe, but not at the Ritz Mandarin Oriental where you pay a high price. They need to review the qualifications of cooks, each time it gets worse. You can have a drink in this place (the atmosphere is very pleasant), but I would not advise...
