This place was a pleasant surprise. I found it by happenstance since it looks unassuming from outside, but I went in and it was a great experience.

I ordered the classic breakfast menu. I chose to have avocado toast, an orange juice and a soy milk latte. The coffee was great and the toast was stunning, both in flavor and presentation. The orange juice was flavorful and freshly made.

The waitresses speak both fluent English and Spanish so it is a perfect place for multicultural people to gather, which was, in fact, reflected by the variety of people who were having breakfast there, having casual meetings or working on their laptops.

The atmosphere is that of a cutesy bakery with a beautiful hand-painted green wall, which, I am not the most artsy person, but I would describe as impressionist-style nature-inspired oil-painting mural (or maybe it is watercolor and I am looking like a fool now :P).

Regarding price, it is very competitively priced for the quality you are getting, but definitely not the cheapest option if that is what you are looking for.

I would...

A must for anybody looking for great specialty coffee and hearty breakfasts. It's located near Moncloa, about a 5-10 min walk and make sure you are looking for it because the facade is not the biggest, as the name says it's a relatively small café with indoor and some outdoor seating, very cozy and friendly staff. I suggest you get there early to be able to get a table, but it's a great option to grab some coffee to go. They have a wide variety of cakes and pastries and the menu has enough options, specially because the ingredients are top notch. We had some avocado toasts with eggs and bacon and it was finger licking good. This place was on my list of places to go to and it didn't dissapoint. They also have a few options if you don't...

The Little Big Café is one of those gems you stumble upon and immediately want to come back to. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff make you feel at home right away. The food is fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared every dish seems to surprise you by being even better than the last. Their desserts are especially worth mentioning: rich, creative, and so good that you’ll find room for them even if you’re already full.

It’s the kind of place that feels like a “local favorite” the moment you sit down. The menu del día is always reliable and never disappoints, making it a perfect everyday spot. Whether you’re looking for a casual lunch, a coffee break, or something sweet to end your day, The Little Big Café is...

I miss eating babka in NYC and found out this place makes them! I reserved 6 and also 3 cinnamon rolls. (I have yet to try them so that’s a review for the future!) When we went to pick up we had to have breakfast so we tried the mango cheesecake and yogurt berry cake. The mango cheesecake was delicious, not too sweet and with a fabulous texture! The yogurt berry cake was also amazing, the cake had good flavor and the “icing” on top was sweet which complimented the cake. I will go again next time I’m in Madrid. For now I’m looking forward to trying the babka and cinnamon rolls….will report back.
