This restaurant is absolutely disgusting and should be avoided at all costs! The service was beyond terrible – we waited forever just to get a table, even though we clearly said we were 5 people, they forced us onto a table for 4 after making us wait far too long. I had to ask five times for water, and only received it after finishing my food.
But the worst part? The worker named Ahmed – rude, arrogant, and openly racist towards Saudis and Gulf people. When we told him the toilets were filthy, the sink overflowing with water, and impossible to wash our hands, instead of fixing it, he shouted and blamed us and other Gulf visitors, saying “it’s dirty because of you people.”
This kind of racism, disgusting hygiene, and pathetic service should not exist in 2025. The staff here are unprofessional, aggressive, and completely disrespectful. DO NOT waste your time or money on this garbage place!
Responds to the restaurant they closed replying back to them :
Honestly, An excuse worse than the sin, We were five people and each one of us have the right to write their own experience and each one of us have the right to share their experience to their friends and beloved ones to avoid such a racism place like this instead of you guys solving the problem and try to make people experience be better regardless the wait regardless the bad attitude from the start to the end regardless the level of the food we received regardless of the high prices we paid. Racism is a red...
Read moreAs with so many places in Marbella, another institution has fallen. This used to be a wonderful restaurant with excellent food and service which we have been enjoying for 20 years. Juan the maitre d was always welcoming and hospitable. This year we come to find a redesigned location which at first seemed agreeable and expansive with the interior now open air. The new hostess Jasmin was very communicative and proactive in seating us. Upon that point the cracks began to emerge. We were greeted at the table by short young man who was less than personable and proceeded to take our order and then disappeared never to be seen again. Our drinks took forever to reach the table. The food arrived and our cutlery was nowhere to be found. When i asked for the cutlery I expressed to another taller watier that the service was lacking and that this was not the restaurant we knew to which the waiter snidely commented "obviously." ! Well I believe that said it all! The orders we made came and where incorrect and the service and attitude were horrible. The restaurant has seemed to take a turn for the worst and has turned a beautiful memory rich institution and turned it into a formulaic fast food money grab. There was less food, no service, paper serviettes! and terrible music. We will never be back and I do...
Read moreAn Unforgettable Culinary Experience at Mumtaz
The name Mumtaz itself evokes elegance, charm, and a promise of something truly special and this restaurant lives up to that reputation in every way. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the beautiful surroundings and warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you feel welcome.
A special shoutout to Yasmin, who was exceptional at her job. Her attentiveness, professionalism, and friendly demeanor made the experience all the more memorable. She ensured that everything was served on time and with a smile, going above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied.
Now, let’s talk about the food specifically the Paneer Butter Masala. Words fall short in describing how divine it was. Rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, it was quite honestly out of this world. Every bite was a burst of flavor that transported me straight to the heart of India. You can truly taste the love and authenticity in every dish.
If you’re in Spain and craving Indian cuisine that’s not only delicious but also served with care and class, Mumtaz is a must-visit. It’s more than just a meal it’s a whole experience that stays with you long after...
