Palocortado — Restaurant in Marbella

Apart from the Service, I strongly do not recommend coming to this restaurant. For a "Gourmet" restaurant, located at the top floor in Cortes Ingles Marbella, the starters were average, the pasta was very dry and included only 4 small pieces of what looks like to be shrimp. The Steak tartar was obviously a very cheap piece of meat that was very watery and lacked a lot of flavour. Finally, the fish and chips. Highly do not recommend (as you can see in the picture) it was undercooked. After a few hours of only taking a few bites of the fish, I felt very sick for the rest of the day. For this price, and being a restaurant with a reputation of a gourmet classy restaurant it was not worth it! very disappointed and we left the plates as you see in the picture. No one bothered to ask if it was alright, it was just taken away and sent the bill. Not worth the price!!! Honestly, better to go to McDonald at...

Very impressive and this is our second visit and I can't wait to come back a 3rd time. For starters we had the Thai Eggplant as well as the Oxtail Burger which in my opinion is a must. Fir the main course we shared the Black Cod which is presented really hot and should be consumed as served. I personally thanked their Chef Gregory for he deserves a standing ovation. No pictures taken but they serve 2 types of Olive Oil, 1 from Malaga and the other from Jaen and I highly recommend they be tried for I must buy the one from Malaga simply because it's the best I have ever had. We had not checked the Restaurants in Puerto Banus, so after shopping in El Cortes Ingles we decided to eat at Palo Cortado, located on the 2. Floor. I am so glad we did. We were served by Sebastian who warmly greeted us and showed us to our table. Sebastian's service was excellent, attentative and friendly throughout. The food was excellent and I can't recommend this place more, especially after shopping in the area. Do yourselves a favour and eat here.
