3 months ago we came as a large group and had a fabulous meal and I wrote a very nice review simply because I as well as my guests were very impressed by the fact that the owners had invested well by bringing an authentic Iranian Chef who created dishes that impressed those who appreciated the cuisine. Furthermore, I also praised the young man who effortlessly served all the tables simply because he was a professional who had dedicated his time studying and learning the art of serving and was well worth every tip he received and more. 2 days ago, I came for another authentic meal. To my surprise the Kobideh Kebab was for sure not prepared by the same Chef from the previous months and tasted different. The staff have changed and at one stage an argument broke out by the 3 young ladies behind the bar and I am certain none of whom had ever attended Culinary School. The meal I had was way below average and for sure not worth the money I paid. The meat was soggy as it leaked water when I tried cutting into it as if it had been heated in a microwave and not grilled on charcoal. The french Fries had been garnished in Paprika, no authentic Iranian restaurant would pull such a stunt. The onions were not garnished as they previously were and the Grilled tomato was cold. Honestly very disappointing restaurant, staff and food and you are no longer the quality you were before and that is a sincere shame.
3 months prior I wrote the following review:
One has to start by giving full credit to the young man (Usama) who manages and serves all the tables by himself and maintains a smile as well as an amazing service throughout.
It is obvious that the restaurant has changed the Chef and brought in another with exquisite Persian culinary skills for his kebab are now of excellent quality.
The portions are large and the presentation is beautiful keeping in mind that the rice is very well cooked and is served with butter on the side not forgetting the quality of Sumac is ample on every table.
I've already spread the news to all my friends and I sincerely hope they maintain their standards.
I have to say or mention the fact that no Iranian restaurant is complete without Iranian bread prepared in a Tanoor and I hope they have that available real soon. The pita bread that was soaked under the meat presented to us today did the job but it's not traditional and the Iranian bread is BADLY NEEDED.
Thank you for upgrading the quality of your food in Marbella.
You are now without a doubt the best in Marbella and with the summer and tourism arriving, you're going to get really busy.
I wish you and your staff nothing...
Read moreWe were delighted to find an Iranian restaurant not too far from us. We arrived early evening so not many people there. The place is tastefully decorated and has a pleasing atmosphere. The food was authentic and tasty. We had a few starters, which were delicious, served flat bread. The mains, koobideh kebab and rice , Gormeh sabzi a typical lamb style stew. Absolutely delicious. However, they were very mean with the lamb pieces, only 3 small cubes in the bowl ? Considering it was 20€ . I did comment to the staff they didn't seem bothered about it.. The only other negative was after they cleared the table from the starters, they wanted us to keep our used dirty used cutlery . I said no, please take them away and give us clean knives and forks. This is not a cheap cafe it's a smart restaurant in Puerto Banus.. I thought that let them down,...
Read moreBeautiful looking restaurant. The sharing platter was very good (mast mosir- mast khiar- mast esfenaj- mast laboo) however the main food was such a let down. Everything seemed to be microwaved from cold rather than freshly cooked. The barg kebabs were not fresh at all, incredibly old and dry. The tahchin and the bamieh were just as bad. Even the koobideh was dry. Something just wasn’t right - it didn’t have that freshly charcoal cooked and juicy. They did nothing about it when we complained about the food was old they said they would get the chef but he never came out. Obviously embarrassed...
