We recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurante Bo Banus in Puerto Banus, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The service provided by our server, Fantastico, was truly exceptional. He was not only kind and attentive but also incredibly informative and passionate about serving us.
The food at Restaurante Bo Banus was absolutely outstanding. Each dish was prepared with precision and care, resulting in a culinary experience that was both innovative and delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was impeccable. It was evident that the chefs put a great deal of thought and skill into every dish.
What truly made the dining experience at Restaurante Bo Banus memorable was the hospitality of Fantastico. He went above and beyond to ensure that we had a fantastic dining experience. He was attentive to our needs, provided excellent recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. His passion for serving us was evident in his every interaction.
I cannot praise Fantastico enough for his exceptional service. His kindness, knowledge, and enthusiasm made the dining experience at Restaurante Bo Banus even more enjoyable. His attention to detail and genuine care for our satisfaction truly set him apart.
We started with amazing sushi, and had the most amazing fish and steak all cooked to perfection. Fantastico knows his food and service really well. He personally prepared and cut the steak himself. Also explained all the halal options well.
Overall, my experience at Restaurante Bo Banus was truly outstanding. The combination of the exceptional service from Fantastico and the outstanding food made for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Restaurante Bo Banus to anyone looking for a dining experience that is both delicious and memorable in Puerto Banus.
Thank you...
Read moreWhere do I begin? Our experience at Bo Banus was shocking from start to finish. Which is such a shame as it is such a beautiful restaurant.
To start, the waiter kept getting our drinks orders incorrect, and kept trying to bring over drinks that we didn't order.
Then, the actual food itself - 3 of our groups meals were cold, 2 under cooked, and my friend who suffers with a gluten intolerance asked on 3 separate occasions whether her meal was gluten free, to which the waiter answered yes. We quickly found out that it wasn't as she was very poorly. They also missed items from our order, one example being garlic bread which we specified to not have tomato - it came out very late (once we had finished our meals) and with tomato. We had to send things back (mushrooms) as they weren't actually cooked.
There was supposed to be a saxophonist on that evening for entertainment, which never happened. This was supposed to start at 9pm and we were there until around 10:30pm. Our evening was spoiled by constant camera flashes (I assume the restaurant were taking pictures of this couple to get content for their social media), but it felt as though they were more concerned about this than offering good service to actual paying customers.
The manager seemed a bit dismissive and just wanted to make a good impression - he offered us a free bottle of champagne to say sorry for all of the above, but at this point we just wanted to leave as our friend was very sick from being given gluten. He reluctantly removed her items from the bill, and offered 20% off our meals (not alcohol). Extremely over priced, I paid 21 euro for a drink which is crazy prices!!
Overall, I would recommend steering clear of Bo Banus. Hopefully they take their negative reviews on board and improve, because as I said, it is a beautiful restaurant, which is let down mainly by...
Read moreWe decided to return to Bo Banus after really enjoying it last year, but unfortunately, this visit was extremely disappointing.
The food and drinks were nice, but the service was painfully slow — it was difficult to get anyone’s attention throughout the evening.
The prices on the menu are listed without VAT, which is misleading. When the bill arrived, it was €160 for just two cocktails and one main each. On top of this, a 10% service charge had been added. Given the slow and poor service, we asked for this to be removed, but the waiter refused and had to call the manager.
The manager’s response was unprofessional and frankly condescending. He first tried to claim that VAT in Spain is 21% (when the menu itself stated it was 10%), speaking to me as though I didn’t know any better. He insisted that the service charge was “compulsory in Spain, just like in London and Paris.” As someone who actually lives in London, I know this is completely untrue.
When I challenged him further, his tone became intimidating. As two young women, we felt uncomfortable and pressured, so in the end, we paid. Having since read other reviews mentioning threats of calling the police if customers refuse the charge, I can completely believe it based on the treatment we experienced.
It’s such a shame because last year this restaurant felt vibrant and welcoming. This time, the poor service, inflated prices, and the way customers are treated were reflected by the restaurant being half empty.
Sadly, it’s gone completely downhill, and I will not...
