Grill Costa Mar — Restaurant in Mogán

Service was utterly disgusting as well as the food, unexpectedly frozen as a cheap london fish and chips shop. we went at 6 pm when restaurant was clearly empty and we asked for a table , we first got rejected as it was “busy” and on the way back to our car we’ve been called to sit on a plastic table. We’ve also heard some shouting at the lady at the bar, that kindly was trying to find any alternative solutions for us. The spot is nice, however close to a parking site so you’ll have cars and boats approaching in and out. The price is truly expensive for what we have been served. Calamari was frozen, the bruschetta was soaked in the tomato juice and the bread felt very spongy as if it’s soaked in water. After they told us we couldn’t order a paella, as the kitchen was too busy to make a Paella, they suggested us The specialty of the house, a Tuna steak which gave me stomach ache for 2 days. Taste was very poor, again must have been frozen, and it was soaked in soya sauce, which doesn’t really make sense on this fish. The service was poor, waiters tried to be funny as they knew what we were experiencing. I felt it was something we’ve done maybe that could have triggered such behavior, but instantly noticed that same food and same service was provided to others. This restaurant has not fresh fish available and from a very passionate person about seafood I’d say to stay very much away from that. There is great coffee here which is ideal for a mid-morning break. The menu is varied, with meals and snacks that are tasty and well-prepared. The fresh fish dishes are especially good, cooked simply and perfectly to bring out all their flavour. Portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable, particularly given the location. The beer is cold, and the cocktails are well made.

What really adds to the experience is the service. Ramón, in particular, is always welcoming, friendly, and attentive, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere where you feel looked after without ever being rushed.
