It's difficult to know where to begin with this place. Firstly we took the advice of some of the reviews on here saying that you must book rather than just turn up and found that we couldn't book between 6.30 and 8.30. I thought that was a good sign that the place was busy and so we booked for 6.30. When we got there the place was almost empty and the waiter showed us to a table and slapped down what looked to be a beermat on the table, shrugged and walked off. Another waiter then brought us a wine list, which I started to look through. As we hadn't been given a menu i politely called him over and asked him for one. A big sigh followed as he explained to me that they don't have menus. This chap was then joined by a very stroppy young woman and they told me that to view their menu I had to use my phone.
After eventually connecting me to their wifi they then told me that I didn't just have to view their menu online but that I also had to order online, presumably to save them the trouble of actually doing something.
Neither staff member seemed in the least bit concerned about me not wanting to do their jobs for them - presumably they also wanted me to cook the food and wash up afterwards.
So we left and found somewhere else with staff who wanted to take your order, bring you the food and generally look after you.
No idea what the food was like but if it was anything like the service it was probably best left alone.
Just don't bother, there are lots of other places around here. I have had to give it one star in order to be able to post the comment, but they weren't...
Read moreYou pay for the atmosphere, not the food. I ordered a the cheeseburger but without cheese as I am allergic. The cheese was taken off, but the burger had sauce which I am also allergic to, this sauce is not mentioned on the menu. So it was returned and the burger which was brought back was the exact same. I told them I am allergic to the sauce and the cheese but they did not understand at first. Then they came back again and instead of making a new burger, the bottom bun was replaced with a different burger’s top bun and the lettuce was just swapped out. Keep in mind there was still burger sauce on the plate and I cannot risk eating it. Another waiter was quite apologetic, but I was in a hurry and could not wait for another burger. I was not happy with paying more than €16 for this. It came with chips and salad which I was surprised by as it doesn’t say this on the menu. I would have been happy with this if the meal was warm, but it was not. I can tell the servers were trying their best, but there is a significant food issue. Maybe if you are going to order a meal and you have no allergies/restrictions then it would not be so bad for you. A small bottle of water is almost €3. I think this place is overpriced for the food it is giving. The atmosphere was...
Read moreWe are English food bloggers on travel to gran caneria we asked the waiter what the best steak was he suggested the chateau it was brought out and it was well over cooked I asked for it to go back and be replaced not for money off or anything like that! Then comes a lady with red hair who decided to argue and say we were wrong and that is a medium steak… this was a well done steak was chewy and burnt on the outside, we spend our time blogging about food and would’ve been happy for them to just re cook the steak to the standard we asked but what ruined it was…. She then argued that they’ve been in business for 6 years and they knew more then me about steak. They brought out another but was still tasteless the sides were cold. Please avoid this place at all costs the service is awful the food is dreadful and papis grill is just an embarrassment of an establishment. We was sat for 20 minuets waiting for a drink… read the reviews first as recently they have had a lot of negative reviews you are better off Eating at a small independent place that knows how to cook food properly. I will be concluding this review on our food...
