El Gaucho - Steakhouse & Tapas — Restaurant in Palma

We ate here tonight and the food was very good, also great value for what we had. The major downside for this restaurant is the staff that were working tonight. This is the first (and last) time we visited this restaurant so can't speak for other members of staff. We weren't greeted and offered a table, we had to instigate this ourselves. We were served our meal and then completely forgotten!! We weren't offered coffee or dessert, the staff all looked totally fed up and like they didn't want to be there!! When new customers were coming in they were all sharing the same fed up looks between themselves and weren't welcoming at all. It all just felt like they were doing us a favour and didn't want us there. On a more positive note, we left the restaurant and had a lovely cocktail in Playa Eden where we felt welcomed and totally enjoyed ourselves. Ca'n Pastilla is a lovely, friendly resort, we will definitely be back, howe ver will never step foot in El Gaucho ever again!!!! Was distinctly lacking...

We were a family of 5 Adults and a baby. The food was very good however in over 1.5 hours we only managed to get one course of food and one round of drinks, we sat with empty plates and glasses while trying to get the staff attention, eventually a member of came to the table after my daughter had to go across the floor and ask for some service, she came over took a drink order cleared our plated and said shed be back with a dessert menu.... well nothing more arrived at the table, no drinks no menu. On a positive note the food we did receive was fantastic! we all had different dishes and all 5 of us thought the food we had was great. it also turned into a really cheep night out couldn't spend money in this restaurant no matter how...

I am almost satisfied of my culinary experience in this restaurant. the waitress didn’t ask about doneness of beef -chicken was without any spices -salad contained plenty of dark spots, which means it was a bit old The hospitality was good, mushroom sauce and other meats were tasty. We didn’t need to wait very long time to receive the meal. Restaurant has a good location. The view could be better but cars parked on the front of restaurant destroyed it a bit. I think if the restaurant will take a closer look on the mistakes and will work on it, the place will become a great spot to eat...
