Santagloria Coffee & Bakery — Restaurant in Palma

As soon as we entered the premises we were ignored. We water a good 5 minutes and still ignored. We then moved to the drinks counter and asked to order a pie, cake and sandwich. Then she said we have to go back to the other counter where the lady had just ignored us. She then served us and with food and orange. We sent back to the second counter. Then both counters decided to serve other customers. The food order was behind the first counter still. We were asked to wait and said why should we wait when they both were serving other customers. Appalling service and to be kind perhaps no training and attitude dreadful. Perhaps racist to meet such ignorance. What I can’t understand is why we even accepted the first ignorance at the...

Food was overall okay, but the personnel is not willing to do anything. When we arrived, 3 tables were occupied by other guests and 8 tables were with dirty dishes. They did not clean it for 15 minutes, so we had to clean one of the tables ourselves.

They also don't speak English nor they try to explain anything. We had a very nice dialogue:

We - "what's inside of this ?" Counter lady - "blabla in Spanish" (which we do not understand) We - "what does it mean?" Counter lady - "No."

We have visited another Santa Gloria in the Palma downtown and it was completely different experience.

Also, as others mentioned, they do not really care about hygiene and covid measures.

Cannot recommend Santagloria cafe more! We tried almost all of their sandwiches and pastry and I genuinely cannot recommend them more! My personal favourite is the croissant with mozzarella, tomato, and lettuce and my partner's favourite were the olive bread and Iberico ham one and the iberico croissant! We loved the tortilla sandwich as well! As for the sweets, you cant go wrong! Pastries are soft and flakey, full of flavour!
