Nice spot, but very slow service. For a tapas restaurant, the selection is quite limited compared to what you usually find in Spain. And it's the worst value for money imaginable ! The portions are ridiculous and the prices are outrageous: 6 euros for ONE croquette, 6.50 euros for ONE tiny squid amuse-bouche. The tomato bread costs 7 euros and is served on stale bread. Even day-old crackers have more flavor.
We also had an issue with the patatas bravas (which were more like potato wedges) priced at 9.50 euros, due to a BBQ sauce that had no place there. The waiter confidently told us it was mentioned on the menu and that we should have seen it. He went to get the menu, read it, and of course, the sauce was not mentioned. He then offered to remake the dish, but we had to wait another 15 minutes And to top it all off, when paying by card, there was a message on the payment terminal asking to add a 5, 10, or 15% tip, with the waiter staring at you, guaranteeing an uncomfortable...
Read moreIf you want a nice evening filled with delicious food and amazing service, this is the place to go. We went here twice during our two week stay on Mallorca.
The first time we had several fish related dishes and they were all fresh to a crisp. I would definitely recommend the tiradito de corvina, since we’ve had that one twice and loved it a lot. Would also recommend the steak tartar and ofcourse the pimientos de padrón as a classic (with a tiny twist).
The second time we went the lovely waitress (Valentina) immediately recognised us and served us both nights with a pleasant smile and the right amount of attention.
The restaurant looks lovely and has a nice mediterranean look and feel. We sat on the terrace both nights and even though it was quite busy in the streets and on the terrace, the setting was very sereen and calm.
If we could take this restaurant with us to the...
Read moreWe had the most enjoyable evening at La Cana. It is a tapas bar overlooking Palma harbour, which has a modern, clean feel. The tapas menu is slightly different to the usual Spanish offering and has a fabulous modern twist. We tried a large selection and everything tasted fabulous and was complemented with an excellent wine, there is also an extensive cocktail list. Our experience was made all the more special with the wonderful service from a delightful waitress called Sophia who had a very gentle and pleasant demeanor and was extremely courteous at all times. The kitchen is open and I was very impressed at the attention to detail the chefs had in their preparation and lovely fresh produce was on display. We would have no hesitation in recommending La Cana and will definitely return. Thank you for an...
