Tucked away behind a massive wooden door in Palma lies Bar Abaco, a truly unique and immersive experience. Stepping inside feels like entering another world – one that blends Roman opulence with theatrical flair. The space is filled with grand architectural details, lavish floral arrangements, and an almost surreal abundance of fresh fruit displayed throughout. The atmosphere is further elevated by the sound of opera music echoing through the bar, adding to the dramatic and romantic vibe. It’s not just a place to grab a drink – it’s a sensory experience. The cocktails were exceptional – beautifully crafted and full of flavor. Whether you’re a cocktail enthusiast or just looking for something memorable, Abaco delivers. This hidden gem is unlike anything else in Palma. If you’re looking for a bar that’s more than just drinks, Bar Abaco is an unforgettable stop.

Overrated experience, take your pictures, get your drink and leave. We got here a bought drinks and a banana split. The banana split was spray whipped cream with warm bananas. Something I could have done in the kitchen within 2 minutes. We were not pleased with the drinks or dessert. Once the payment finally arrived the waiter was begging for tips. As I was not pleased with the service or drinks/food I said that I don't want to give any tips. He, the waiter then proceeded to push me to pay more but I was persistent and said no. He then shook his head despite delivering poor service and said something in Spanish I didn't understand. All I have to say to your old man, man just do a better job and you get better paid. I am never coming back despite living in mallorca.

If you want a truly magical decor, covered in fruit, antiquities, and art, this is the place to go. An over-embellished resplendent palace of Alice In Wonderland lavishness Visiting the inside and the garden are honestly worth paying a little more for, and the cocktails certainly aren't bad - but they aren't the most defined either. If you're coming for the tongue alone, there are many better alternatives with precision mixology, but don't get me wrong - it's not bad. The Abaco Special was generous, fruity and kept me going for a while - but other classics are more average Went on a November Wednesday, so plenty of room. This won't be the case in summer or weekends

I have never experienced worst service in my life then I did at this place! It's a shame because the establishment is really beautiful. The staff lacks customer service. My friend and I went because we found it on trip advisor. The hours stated they closed at 1am on Sunday. We arrived at 12am. When we walked in there wasn't a hostes but a waiter who saw us and we asked if we could sit in one of the empty tables as there were many. He said yes but with an attitude & upset look. I asked to order a bottle of wine and he said no as there was no time since they were about to close. I then said but it's only 12 and you close at 1am. We can drink a bottle in an hour and he simple said no. We said fine and ordered one glass each. We then saw how he treated those that came in, he didn't allow anyone in the bar after us. Told them all they closed at 1am even those it was still 12. I'm not sure the owner is aware that they are turning away customers before the bar opens. It's a shame because the place is really nice but the treat people so bad. I personally own a hotel in NY and varios corporate housing apartments in different cities and would never treat a customer this way. The old mean waiter came at 12:30am with our check. I paid my part of the bill and told him to give us a few minutes cause my girlfriend still needed to pay her part. He said NO she needs to pay now its 12:30am and I need to go home. I then said but don't you close at 1am? He said exactly at 1am no one can be here we need to be gone by then. I told him that wasn't right. I mean shouldn't customers be allowed to stay till closing time? It's 12:30am, he then raised his voice at us and said we had to pay the bill now! In all my years of dining out and partying attending bars I have never had anyone made me feel as uncomfortable as I did tonight! So bad that we then asked t speak to the manager who turned out to be a young man who basically could care less of what we said. After our critic we walked outside only to have the nasty old mean waiter walk behind us curse at us and slam the door behind as we walked out. I have never been so Insulted in my life!!!!!!!!! For the record I will not stop until the reviews of this place go down. I expect an apology from the establishment! I will not allow this place to treat me this way! If the manager or owner is reading this then remember the two girls who asked to speak the management tonight. Anyway, beware people, lovely place!...

5 stars for Venue. 3 Star service. Classy, Baroque style. Rococo stairway to stunning rooms upstairs. Gold tilted chairs, tapasteies, paintings. Incredible architecture, design. Amazing gardens right in the middle of building. Opulent. Opulence. Furnishings and fittings. Rose Petals luminated show to classical music. Drinks only. No food. Cocktails, beers, fine champagnes. Kir Royale so good had to have 2. Happy moment. 17 Euro a pop. Bottled San Migel 9 Euro. Expensive. But it is not every day you enter a Baroque Nobel House. High ceilings. Open fire. Fruits scattered on floor picture like a painting. On entering sign saying no photos. Upon entering everyone taking photos. Many people walk in and about turn just to see what this Abaco is all about. Those who know class stay. Enjoy a chat. Enjoy a drink. People watching in amazing surroundings. Downside. The rudest staff you have ever come across. Hola, serious. No smiles. Serve you. Then finished. Next person please. I decided to leave the bar and take photos like everyone else. To be shouted at by the rudest Male I have ever come across in a public establishment. Senora no photo. Stop. Embarrassed. I went back to my stool at the bar. My husband not impressed along with me. We decided to sit down at a table nestled by the front door. Comfortable and amazing view. We ordered another round of drinks. My Kir Royale. The waiter dropped the champagne on floor and my feet. Returned with another bottle. Left the spilled drink there. No apologies. I prior to leaving spoke to the rude waiter who shouted at me. A different story when I said. Why cant I take photo sir. When you can take 56 Euro of my money and your rude to me. He apologised and said you can take one Senora. I had taken several. Go see for yourself. Be prepared ...

The location and decor of this bar may be gorgeous, but that’s where the positives end. Our entire experience was utterly destroyed by one incredibly rude waiter who clearly thinks he owns the place.

He had the audacity to shush our group simply for having a normal conversation — in a bar of all places. Since when is talking in a bar a problem? Service was painfully slow; nobody came to take our second order (so much for good business). Eventually, this same waiter returned — not to check on us — but to kick us out, declaring it was “time to go to the beach,” even though several of us hadn’t finished our drinks and it wasn’t even closing time. If I pay top dollar for a drink, I expect to be able to finish it!

And who is this miserable old man with glasses, anyway? A quick look at other reviews reveals this isn’t an isolated incident — there’s even a photo of him and countless people mentioning his terrible attitude. It’s astonishing that someone so unpleasant is still working here, which tells you all you need to know about the venue’s standards.

To add insult to injury, he was incredibly condescending to my mother, correcting her Spanish despite the fact that she’s a native speaker. Clearly, this guy’s ego is even bigger than his lack of manners. Evidently, decades at the job haven’t taught him the basics of hospitality.

This place coasts on its looks but completely ignores what really matters — good service and a welcoming atmosphere. Honestly, it’s a joke. Save yourself the disappointment and go elsewhere. Would absolutely...
