Bibap, comida corea y asíatica — Restaurant in Palma

My partner and I visit Palma several times a year and we always visit Bibap when we’re in town. The staff are so kind and generous, and on every visit they always remember us and make us feel incredibly welcome. The food is utterly delicious and great value for money with generous portions - it’s always beautifully presented. My favourite dish is the Thai curry that comes with tofu or salmon, but the staff always accommodate my request to serve it without the protein and with extra vegetables instead. The Seoul chicken curry is also delicious, and I’d highly recommend the squid in marinade with vegetables. The restaurant itself is lovely and spotlessly clean, in a brilliant central location. Lets just put it this way : it is only the food that is high quality and the real job is being done by the people we don't get to meet. Service is pool! Lack of entusiasme and slow service. Upon getting my beer size wrong l was told that 300ml beer is almost the same as the 500 ml l had ordered... NO! I had the duck witch was great. The bimpap came... the sauces to go with the bimp bap came almost 10 minutes later... we did want desert but they had no menu... a fast speaking server told us the desert menu.. but we didn't get the price and barely got every third word he said... BUT the real stars are in the kitchen! So if you don't mind poor service and lack of enthusiasm and willingness to go the extra mile...then trust that the food makes more than up for it! As a local resident I have been meaning to to try this place for a while. Very nice location on Plaza Mercat but was very disappointed. We arrived on time with a reservation but still it took the disinterested staff 10 minutes to seat us. Menu was surprisingly limited, a few Thai dishes, a few Korean and a little sushi. We chose a "summer" roll a Thai red curry and a fried duck dish. The summer roll was rather bland. The curry came with very little sauce. The duck was simply deep fryed and lacked any flavour.

Sadly this restaurant seems to be one more focussed on one time tourist visitors where it doesn't matter if they like it or not they will never come back.
