I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel is nice, clean and the staff is very helpful. It is central. However there were quite a few things that made the stay uncomfortable. The WiFi is not consistent, it comes and go and it's not very strong. The room's floor is not levelled, especially in the bathroom. It feels like it goes down and up, there are bumps all over it. The shower's doors do not close properly, which means that if one is not careful water can go outside. The toilet had a lot of scratches, making it look like it was dirty. The pillows were very small and flat, not comfortable for neck and head. And most importantly, the rooms are not properly sealed from noises. Unfortunately you could hear all kind of noises coming from the other rooms, when people talked, laughed, listened to music, took showers and so on. And since it is in a busy street, you could hear people from the street as well. It was a very noisy room, not quiet at all. It felt like it lacked a lot of privacy. A few times i was awaken in the middle of the night from the noise of the other rooms, making my rest not peaceful. And finally, there are no balcons, which, at least for me, it's a bit of a downside. It is a place with a lot of potential, but for the experience I had, it was just way too expensive, noisy and uncomfortable. I hope it can get better, I wish this to them as they are...
Read moreI was apprehensive about the self check in procedure, and getting in using a door code, after reading some negative reviews, but I need not have worried - it was perfectly straightforward. ||Once inside our room I found it to be a good size, and spotlessly clean. The bed was huge and comfortable. ||The location is great. We got the bus from the airport to Plaza D’Espagne and from there the hotel was a 15 minute walk. It is also just around the corner from a lovely avenue lined with trees, bars (although somewhat pricey) & restaurants. Plenty of other, less expensive, places to eat and drink down the little side streets across the other side of the road. The cathedral, palace and waterfront are also at the bottom of that avenue. ||All in all a great place to stay as a base for a short break when exploring the area is the main aim. I think if I was staying for a week or more, particularly in the summer months, I’d want a few more on site amenities like a restaurant, bar and pool area...
