lentulus — Restaurant in Palma

British tourist. Visited Sept 25. We stumbled across this place looking for gelato. It’s not in the busiest or most touristy location so it’s definitely and “if you know you know” type find. before you ask, no - it’s not a lentil based ice cream shop. Lentulus means slow in Latin apparently. I know this because I spoke to the owner. He was very friendly and engaging, not just with us but other customers too. He was very generous too which I’ll come to. It’s only a small but well designed shop and they specialise in healthy alternative to ice cream, smoothies or shakes. We had Silva which is raw honey and pistachio as well as Mediterranean which is fig, dates and granola. The portion sizes were quite large and probably equivalent to 3-4 scoops per pot. We only spent 13 euros. He also gave us a cocoa / granola crunch to try whilst he made the ice cream fresh. As we say enjoying our ice cream in store / he made a chocolate based smoothie for another customer. There was some left over so he brought us over some remaining to try. All 3 flavours were delicious - our favourite being Silva which is the pistachio one. Best thing is, it didn’t even feel that naughty because it’s relatively clean eating compared to the usual gelato spots. This place should / will eventually go viral when the bloggers find out about it so go now before there are queues out the door - your supporting a genuinely local and small...

My wife and I were craving gelato or ice cream whilst exploring Palma, saw the amazing reviews on Google for Lentulus and they were incredibly accurate.

Brad served us, was incredibly polite, was happy to provide suggestions and also gave both of us a sample of the granola snack whilst we waited for our order which was delicious.

We chose an ice cream each (can choose from three options, icecream, smoothie or shake), myself a Cacao (chocolate with cacao nibs) with granola sprinkled on top, my wife a Summer (apricot, peach and watermelon) with fresh fruit on top.

Obviously there is already a 4.9 rating against Lentulus, but we both think it should be a 5 star rating. Unfortunately there are some people reviewing that can't be satisfied, so disregard their reviews.

Both were absolutely phenomenal, best ice cream we've had. Hands down.

We were looking for a frozen yoghurt place in Palma, but Google suggested Lentulus. So pleased we ended up at this place as not only it is a new, healthy concept but their smoothie and ice cream was sumptuous.They don't do frozen yoghurts but are even better, as they serve the most nutritious , freshly made - in front of you- ice cream, smoothie or shake. These items are made with fruits and nuts and must say not only are they nutritious , but also very delicious. Now you don't need to pump yourself with sugary ice creams/ smoothies and shakes as these are made with natural products.
