I just left the restaurant and felt compelled to write this immediately. The manager served us and warned that the fried baby squid we wanted to order came in a very small portion. Based on his advice, my friend and I ordered two servings. However, when I tried to cancel some side orders because I didn’t want to over-order, the manager’s tone suddenly became loud and aggressive. He impatiently insisted that the portions were "very, very small," which made me feel uncomfortable. To be honest, it seemed clear that he was trying to inflate our bill.
Throughout our meal, nobody checked on us, and when the fried baby squid arrived, it came in two heaping plates. The fried baby squid was tasteless, just fried nothingness (the photo shows what was left after we ate half of each portion). I mentioned to a waiter during the meal that it was unfair to be misled into ordering two portions, and that it was unreasonable to charge €29 for food we didn’t eat. Despite this, no one followed up, and when the bill arrived, there was no adjustment for the fried baby squid, as if we wouldn’t notice.
When I pointed this out, the waiter told me to speak with the manager. The manager then refused to listen, placing all the blame on us, even though he was the one who misled us about the portion sizes. He insisted that "since the kitchen made it, we have to pay for it," and absurdly suggested that we should have questioned the portion size before ordering, despite his earlier claims. He later contradicted himself, saying we should have raised the issue during the meal—which I did, but nothing was done about it.
It’s not as if we ate everything and then tried to avoid paying. The manager was incredibly rude, and the rest of the meal was mediocre at best. I’m genuinely shocked that this place has a 4+...

Came here on a weekday lunchtime and waited over an hour for 3 dishes despite the waiter not taking our food order with our drinks (even though we were ready) because he said the food would come out quickly. When he eventually took our food order 2 of the dishes we wanted had run out by that point. The food that did eventually appear was tasty but portions were small and pricey in my opinion. In the end, after an hour, we gave up waiting for our hamburger and went round the corner to McDonalds. How disappointing is that!
The waiter’s attitude turned very surly and rude as soon as we said we weren’t waiting any longer and he didn’t utter another word to us. But he did bring the bill and try and charge us for bread - if only we had been lucky enough to receive that!
All in all a very bad experience so I would certainly avoid this place as there are so many other great eating places in Palma - don’t waste your time...

Drinks were brought to the wrong tables, and there was a general lack of enthusiasm from the staff. While the food was decent, the overall experience was marred by several issues.
One of the most notable aspects was the demeanor of a particular service staff member. They exhibited a high level of arrogance and seemed disinterested in their role. Their attitude was both moody and confrontational, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for guests.
Unfortunately, there were consistent mix-ups with both drink and food orders. Almost every round of drinks and each dish seemed to either be incorrectly prepared or ended up at the wrong table. This lack of attention to detail was frustrating and negatively impacted the overall dining experience.
I would hesitate to recommend Can Frauquet Tapas Bar, perhaps only as a quick option for a casual lunch on the go. My group and I will certainly not be returning, as there are better alternatives available. It's a shame that the potential of the establishment was overshadowed by these issues.

Casi cada ronda de bebidas y cada plato parecían estar incorrectamente preparados o terminaban en la mesa equivocada.
