65 x 5 star reviews? Well here’s the 66th 5 star review. It’s difficult to find a proper carbonara these days made with egg yolk, no cream and the most important ingredient of all… GUANCIALE!!! Well they make their carbonara here at PastaAmi with egg yolk, no cream and the tastiest Guanciale straight from Italy! And to top it they also make their own pasta! They are just on another level!!! When I thought I was done after killing the carbonara they then told me they have home made Tiramisu, how could I resist? Wow it was truly one of the best if not the best tiramisu that I have ever tasted! And I am looking forward to trying their take on the Rum Babà (Traditional Neopolitan dessert) that they call ‘Babàmisu’ which is filled with Mascapone cream on my next visit as I just wasn’t able to fit it in as much as I wanted to! Seriously if you want good value no nonsense authentic Italian food cooked by an Italian chef (Chef Samuel is from Naples - worked in a 2 star Michelin Italian restaurant in London, yes I am blowing his trumpet and why not?) and excellent front of house service from Daniela then look no further than PastaAmi!!! You will not be disappointed! Give them a try!!!
Update 14.10.24: So I kept my promise and returned to PastaAmi the next day to try their Babàmisu and as expected just like with their Tiramisu it was dessert heaven!!! 😋

Read moreSuch a chilled lovely spot for some 10/10 pasta. Saw this place when we were walking back to our hotel and decided that’s where we would lunch there the next day. I had the small portion of carbonara which was rich and creamy with crispy guanciale but not too salty it was a 10/10. My partner had cacio e Pepe which was also lovely and we got a drink and dessert (three options but we had a tiramisu) all was incredible and cooked fresh. Also amazing service they were all so friendly....
