There's great customer service, there's above and beyond customer service, and there's "I'm getting in the car with you and helping you find a place to park because these are narrow streets and we're doing this together" customer service. And the last one is what I got at Can Quetglas. ||Sergio was my hero, helping me navigate two different parking options (one I couldn't fit my car in, and a second where he moved a car to make way for me to park). He was super friendly and thorough with my check-in experience and shared some good food recommendations in the local area. ||The hotel is pretty nice! There are a good amount of pros, and some things to consider based on your own preferences, so let's get into them.||Pros|+ Small, boutique hotel with about 12ish rooms, an eating area, and a small private pool with lounge chairs for sunbathing|+ Quiet street, rarely saw many people or heard much noise from my room or on the block|+ Close freeway access for those wanting to use this as a home base and explore different parts of the island|+ Rustic vibe with modern amenities (all the plugs you'll need)|+ AC and ceiling fan - cooling off was never a problem|+ The neighborhood feels more local than touristy but still has anything you could need (restaurants, cafes, coffee, markets, etc).||Things to consider|- Location is a good distance from the city centre, about 30-40min walk; when it's 38C/100F out, I ended up taking a taxi instead of walking because it was just too hot|- The streets are very narrow in this area, so I'd stick with smaller cars if you have one (both for driving and parking spaces)||Thanks again Can Quetglas for everything...
Read moreRoom and service was fantastic, breakfast delicious with plenty of choice and served on the beautiful terrace, and the pool area perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
Service and amenities can be requested via WhatsApp which we found really handy. Drinks and snacks can be ordered to the pool or room during the day. Smart TVs in the room to access Netflix, etc. Well stocked minibar and coffee pod machine.
We had a room with direct access to the pool area which was perfect, good size and large comfortable bed. Appreciated the separate sitting area and loved being right next to the pool which we made good use of. We were able to get loungers pretty much any time we wanted them, despite there only being 6 and some guests trying to reserve them with towels. Staff were helpful at removing them if this happened. Worth noting the pool area is quite shaded due to surrounding buildings & the palm trees in the garden but we were grateful for this to escape the intense summer sun! We also enjoyed the rooftop on the afternoon we arrived while we waited for our room to be ready, lovely views and the perfect spot for a drink.
Although slightly out of the center, it’s a 20 min walk to the restaurants and bars of Santa Catalina and just another 10 minutes to the old town. Plenty of taxis which cost around 8 euros, buses also frequent and handy from near the hotel.
We would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others. Thanks to all the staff for a...
Read moreAbsolutely beautiful hotel. We had a 3 night stay at Hotel Can Quetglas and really didn't want to leave. The hotel staff are exceptional. They are so professional, welcoming and friendly. They took the time to explain everything the hotel has to offer, they even provided a guide for what to see and do in Mallorca and their recommendations of restaurants. The rooms are beautifully styled, super clean and spacious with plenty of facilities and amenities. We had a lovely balcony with direct access down to the pool. There is also a rooftop with comfy chairs to sit and admire the great views of the city. Located in a quiet neighbourhood and only a 30 minute walk to the centre of Old Town Palma and a bus 5 minutes walk away if you prefer. This really is a luxurious hotel and I can't wait to come...
