Best kept secret on the Island! Little Jarana is a hidden gem that offers an exceptional dining experience in Palma. Nestled just outside the touristy streets of Palma and right next to Santa Catalina. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the outstanding Mediterranean style cuisine. The food at Little Jarana is simply exquisite. Each dish is expertly prepared with fresh, high-quality local ingredients and bursts with authentic flavors. I highly recommend ordering "what they recommend" but especially the gnocchi. Overall the food is perfectly balanced and incredibly fresh.
What truly sets Little Jarana apart is their impeccable service. The limited seating makes it possible for the local chef Abraham Artigas and his staff to be attentive, and they go above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. They're happy to explain menu items and make excellent recommendations for both food and drink pairings.
The restaurant's ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and elegant, making it suitable for both casual dinners and special occasions.
To top it all off, the value for money is excellent. Little Jarana is a five-star dining destination that consistently delivers on all fronts – delicious food, outstanding service, wonderful ambiance, and great value. It's clear why this restaurant will become the "must visit" of Palma...
Read moreMy partner and I recently visited Little Jarana. While we had high hopes, we left feeling a bit disappointed.
The restaurant itself is intimate and has a clean, minimalist design, though the lighting could be warmer to create a more cozy atmosphere. However, the service was excellent - attentive, personalized, and very friendly. The chef truly made us feel welcome.
The food was of good quality, with fresh ingredients used in every dish. Despite this, something seemed to be missing. The flavors didn’t quite stand out as we had expected, and while everything was well-prepared, it lacked the special touch that would make it truly memorable.
For the price, the meal was fair, but it didn’t quite live up to the expectations we had. While we appreciated the fresh ingredients and attentive service, the overall experience felt somewhat underwhelming. Unfortunately, it’s not a place we’d...
Read moreI was hesitant to give a review, since this is a rare jewel, we wanted to keep dear to our hearts and ourselves. What should I say, the food and presentation is outstanding. The balance of flavors, and textures, paired with the quality of the products, leaves a deep impression.
The owner, and the chefs are amazing hosts. The concept of eating at the bar, talking with the chefs, watching them prepare the food, adds to the experience and feeling of being close to the products.
The price-value is great (coming e.g. from Munich or Zurich).
We went twice and in both instances it was a memorable experience.
So, Little Jarana, the staff and the nights spent there, will keep a special place amongst all.
Update July 2025: we visited again, the fourth time now. All what I wrote above still holds true. The team, the food, the ambiance and wine is always a...
