Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. We’ve been passing by this little romantic part near the harbour of Puerto de la Cruz and saw this Restaurant with the stunning view over the Ocean.
The interior is really nice but not very romantic.
There is an elderly waiter that seems easily stressed even without many customers around and he’s also not very friendly. We wanted a seafront table but we’ve been told very rudely that this is not possible. (though it was perfectly possible for 3 other couples after us, with no reservation either)
The Dishes on the menu are rather pricey for a rather “poor” harbour town fish restaurant. Every other seaside fish restaurant I’ve been in my life delivered way better quality for a better price so beware, you are definitely getting tourist taxed here.
The Paella was way to salty and no, I’m not talking “it’s the saltwater taste of the seafood”, that one I enjoyed, I’m talking about the abundance of cooking salt on top of it all that made it way to salty.
Not uneatable, but not pleasant either.
My recommendation is, skip this establishment completely and look for one of the nicer restaurants you find in “Calle el Lomo”...
Read moreLa Cofradía de Pescadores in Puerto de la Cruz offers a fantastic location with beautiful views overlooking the fishing port, but unfortunately, the dining experience did not meet expectations. The fried octopus was poorly cleaned, overly chewy, and burnt on the legs, while the black rice paella was oily, with seafood that was not properly cleaned, including squid that still had hard shells, internal organs, and flippers, as well as shrimp with legs intact. The black coloring of the rice also seemed artificial rather than natural, which was disappointing. Additionally, despite arriving early at 6 PM, only limited desserts from the full menu were available, and both the cheesecake and passion fruit dessert were sold out, leaving us without a dessert option. Service was equally lackluster, with staff showing little interest in engaging with us or even inquiring about our experience when paying the bill. While the location and view are undeniably excellent, the overall experience was let down by poor food preparation, lack of menu availability, and indifferent service, making it hard to recommend without significant...
Read moreVery disappointed.I chose this place for high reviews so ordered a fish grill for 2 at €30...we received a platter of 6 fish so quantity was good but the fish was boring.no variety.they didn't even bother to clean it for us. Very fatty fish with plenty of bones.the scales were also still on.gave us 2 quarter lemons which were not enough..the last fish was very rubbery and after looking better it was actually still raw!! I complained and all I got was"am sorry will tell the chef".when it came to pay no discount or mention that one fish was left uneaten. When I made them notice this the reply was" well only one was raw the rest were ok"...wow!!!!..so I wonder why didn't I pay for 5 fish???no point arguing so we paid as THEY were annoid. TERRIBLE SERVICE..If this is supposed to be the best seafood restaurant in puerto de la cruz I think for the next couple of days I don't be eating fish!!!Totally ruined...
