In need of a steak was not disappointed. I have one "peculiarity" foodwise, I love home made chips and HATE frozen. When asked, the server was honest and admitted they used frozen but said they were very good. Probably. But I had the option of sauteed with bacon so had that . Good call! The steak was perfect to my liking, rare(near blue) and Mrs Rob had cordon bleu. I had a bit (of course I did!)and it was lovely with perfectly crunchy breadcrumb. Cheapest wine on the menu was also a winner, a nice, smooth, Rioja with a memorable name! Service was considerate and not overly unctuous! Surroundings were very pleasant and atmosphere was good. Price point perfect. Recommended 99% would be 100% if handcut chips were on offer but that's being mean! If we were longer in PDLC I know we'd be back.

Our meal here was very tasty with generous portions. The hosts were very friendly and helpful which added to our enjoyment. My wife had Escalope with mushroom sauce and I had Secreto Ibérico with apple and port wine sauce. Both came with a good small side salad and French fries. The meat in both cases was delicious and beautifully cooked. We shared a bottle of local red wine (Arautava) which was also fine. We didn't have room for deserts!

Vieles musste man extra bezahlen. Corona bedingt?

We visited twice during our week here. First time for a late lunch. We only ordered simple salads, a wine and a beer. The service was super. They made us feel very welcome. The salads were exceptional and delicious. The house wine was excellent and naturally, the beer was cold and splendid.

We came back for dinner on our last night. The steak was sublime! I have been fortunate enough to have eaten in some of the ‘best’ steak restaurants in America, Canada, London and many other places. The steak they served me tonight was one of the best I have ever had. Perfectly cooked. Succulent and delicious.

My wife had the Schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce that was equally fabulous and matched any we have had in Austria or Germany.

It is also incredible value for money. Great wines at €11.00 per bottle!!! This place is...
