This place is located in a main side street, as is typical of Spanish cities and towns. They location location location in real estate lexicon....well this place exemplifies it. In fact, it's how they stay so busy.
Mind you, most tourists will eat at this place and think it's good. That said, I consider myself a local after living in Spain for five years. Their patatas bravas are a subpar permutation of the original recipe. If you are from Catalonia DO NOT order them as you will be incensed: they use marinara sauce in lieu of the spicy orange marinade that typifies the dish. I could not eat them.
My wide ordered the bacalao in salsa, which was decent. I ordered the rabo de Toro as my main dish and it was tender and rather tasty. The tortilla de camarones however where not good. In fact, I could not find even the slightest shrimp particles anywhere.
Bottom line: if you're a tourist who just wants a quick meal, then have at it. If you are a foodie tourist that wants a fresh and traditional Spanish meal, then move along and on to...
Read moreWe ordered some tapas and a “seafood” rice which came in the form of a a “paella” with not to much seafood. Although the rest was good. However, one of the dishes we ordered was “jamon iberico”, which had 2 prices (3.5€ and 19.5€), we ordered and no one informed us of the difference neither did they asked which size we wanted, the automatically put the expensive one. And then, when asked when the bill came, they rudely said that it was on the menu. We filled scammed as we were tourists. Finally, when it came the time to pay the bill, they presented us with a paper with what we ordered handwritten, and said that we had to pay in cash, because they had no internet on the inside, as we watched other people pay by card. After some persistence, they left us pay by card and presented us a proper bill. One of the staff members were polite, although one of them was very rude when confronted with our issues. Definitely would not come back and would...
Read moreQuite possibly the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I ordered a vegetarian burger without mayonnaise. My partner ordered chicken with plum sauce and marinated fried chicken. My partner's said his chicken and plum sauce meal was tasty, but marinated chicken was just dry chicken fried in breadcrumbs. Nothing special at all, pretty much like chicken nuggets at McDonald's. After telling the staff I'm waiting for my meal, my burger came out 40 min after ordering (my partner had his meals and almost finished eating them by now). My burger came out with mayonnaise even though I stated no mayonnaise when I ordered. Not happy. Returned the burger, and they provided me with a new one. However, the chips they gave me were from the previous meal. They were cold. I had no apology or anything from staff. Very poor service. Unacceptable I had to wait 1 hour for my food. Would not...
